If you read my previous posts, I always said Bosh was the better player. That is a non-argument. What I said was he does not coexist with the Rockets. Whatever. Glad Morey is running this team and not you guys. You guys think its NBA Live or something.
question.. why do u think DM's goin after Manu? alot of u guys are talkin about Manu in the offseason but how do yall figure we'd go after him
I still think somebody like Josh Smith is a better fit. He fits your description better than Bosh. Somebody who does not look to be the leading scorer/first option but looks to help the team win above all else.
u guys GOTA stop havin theser knee jerk reactions to a spurt or a good game here or there or a good stretch like Scola is having and yall are go ape nuts.. then when he comes back to Earth yall will be back on the 'we need a good PF next to Yao' bandwagon u guys need to stop bein fairweather fans
And why would Bosh want to go to Houston? This is a guy who said he wants to join a team that will build their team AROUND him. Bosh is good but he is not better than Yao. If you don't know that, then you don't know basketball. This is a guy who wants to be the leading scorer of his team, he would not even be the best big here.
Because Manu is a player that can give you allstar ball withoutbeing paid allstar money, a guy that won't mind playing 20 mins some games. That is great mentor to everyone and that has won at every, and i mean every, level he played. He would be the killer we never had, at the price you want. And is quite in the same age as Yao, meaning that they may last the same and coexist. Finally, Manu is probably the best passing SG available this summer, maybe, one of the most evident weakness of our actual backcourt. Having him instead of Battier will help the team ease out a leader (that Battier is). Basically, i think he fits the project. A hardworking player, that never gives up and cares about winning like anyone.
I"ll pass on Manu dudes going to want BIG Money and he has A TON of miles on him. If the Spurs let him go it means they're OFFICIALLY REBUILDING. Let's get another young hungry player. We need someone to protect the rim!
I was never on that bandwagon. I have been fairly happy with ScoLandry for the past couple of years. PF, I never considered a problem. BUT if were to upgrade, I think somebody like Josh Smith would be a better fit. BTW (off topic) kneejerk reactions is human nature. If you don't have them, then you are not human.

Daryl Morey told people at the MIT Sports Analytics Conference which upcoming FA he believes is way undervalued and will be underpaid. So I gotta believe this is Morey's #1 target, all the Bosh and Amare talk are just smoke and mirrors.
He says the guy will be underpaid only about 20-25% of his true value. Who do you think it is? Spoiler
This is not a knee jerk reaction, this is an observation. Scola is doing things that other PFs this team has had never did and the thing that has me wondering about what Morey will do is the fact Scola finally has the chance to be "The Man" and is putting up All-Star numbers. NO ONE is saying Scola is better then Bosh, that would be foolish, the question is more of what do we do with Scola now that we see what he can truly do when in "BEAST MODE" lol sorry had to do that.
For what i have read on his page he is more interested in a longer contract ad a project he can trust than money. He wants to play for Argentina and win NBA championships. Looking for a 4 year contract, MLE money should do it. Granted, Manu has maybe 3 years left, tops. But if you give him a frontloaded full MLE, giving him one year that he is "overpayed" he will also be an expiring contract that year so that's not a great problem.
Good defensive player, shotblocking presence, very athletic, solid rebounder (not great tho), can hustle. Trust me, if Yao were to (God forbid) retire, I would be all up on the Bosh bandwagon. I just don't see it to be honest.
i like Manu but idk about all that man hes oft-injured and we're jammed up with G's now nice informative try tho
