Yes, just what i wanted to know.
Did anyone here believes that a guy that resigned money to come to the NBA will accept more money to go to a crappy team?? Scola would never approve a sign n trade where he ends in Toronto.

If you want Scola to participate in a sign and trade for Bosh you'll have to find a contender where Scola would end.

    Scola is a RFA.

The big misconception here is that Scola has some kind of choice of where he wants to play. He doesn't. He's not a UFA yet, Rox match his deal and he's theirs to trade to whoever they want.

He'd have to agree the S&T, because AFAIK, if another team makes an offer and Rockets match, they could not trade him right away that way....

If they match his deal then they cannot trade him. Plain and simple.
A sign n trade is a contract where a player agrees to such a trade.
If they just match then a sign n trade won't be possible as he will have a no trade clause. (a player cannot be traded until three months after signing a contract or December 15th of that season, whichever is later)
Then comes the BYC problem, as Scola will likely have a greater salary than his actual the BYC clause will make him difficult to trade him.
A sign-and-trade is treated like a single, atomic transaction, not two separate transactions between which one party can change its mind. The sign-and-trade clause makes the contract invalid if a trade to the specified team does not take place within 48 hours.

Lol well then that sounds like a problem.

Still though Toronto is not some place that players flee from. Also Scola seems like the type of guy who really does not care where he plays. I think if the Rockets came to him and said "We really to trade you to Toronto..." he'd get the idea of 'They don't appreciate what i've done.' and go for that reason alone. Plus Toronto would most likely get another player back to form a formidable team.

    Brooks
    Derozan
    Hedo
    Scola
    Bargs

Is probably a better team than they have now honestly, especially if Derozan improves.

Either way it really doesn't matter, Rockets are in good shape with or without Scola. Morey has set it up that it would be hard not field a top 5 team in the West next season....barring injuries of course the one thing that always haunts this team.

Don't know how much you are informed about Scola, but there is no way he agrees on going to a crappy Toronto team, that no matter how you point it, it's still crappy.
