It's most likely because his knee is finally strong again, and he's getting more confident with his shot. You need strong legs to shoot.

The picture is changing, and the gap is narrowing.

Can we stop comparing Lowry to Lin? Lowry turned into that toronto pick that helped us get the best player on our team, Harden. Dragic is the only one really comparable since he left thru free agency.

None of these stats are even relevant. Lowry and Dragic play on bad teams where they can dominant the ball. If Lin played on a bad team his stats would also be inflated but he plays with a top 3 SG named Harden.

Besides just looking at their individual stats this year, Lowry is slightly better than Lin but not by much.

It is also Lowry's 9th year in the league.

    Lowry - Lin

    PPG
    12.9 - 12.6
    RPG
    4.50 - 3.40
    APG
    5.9 - 6.2
    EFF
    + 16.67 - + 14.96

Lin has been playing better lately than his season average suggested.

    Lol @ this thread
Fans should be happy that we had all three of those 2nd tier guards at the same time.

Although Lowry has proven he can be a borderline first tier PG

Lin moves back above 15 PER finally, while Lowry sinks down under 20 PER.

Stats are not the main thing to look at no matter what the circumstances. If stats were king then the Lakers would be in first place. Besides the way McHale treats point guards Lowry would be in revolt by now and maybe Dragic. McHale should thank his lucky stars he's got Lin.

Jocar I don't think we'll ever see eye to ete until the hard facts force you to admit you've been wrong about Lin from day 1.

    Lowry has been injured.

And yes a healthy Lowry is still better than Lin.

Doesn't mean I don't think Lin could get better than Lowry.

Current PER: Lin 14.68, Lowry 19.41, and Dragic 16.87.

Hes giving the stat that makes it look the best too.

    lowry
    ppg:12.8
    reb: 4.6
    assits: 5.9
    stl: 1.3
    FG% .411%
    3p% .403%

    dragic
    ppg: 14.2
    reb: 2.9
    assits: 6.9
    stl: 1.5
    FG% .435%
    3p% .312%

    in
    ppg: 12.6
    reb: 3.4
    assits: 6.2
    stl: 1.9
    FG% .433%
    3p% .326

I think the argument has been keep lowry hes better then lin at passing (assits) and driving to the hoop. Well this year he is worse then lin at both
    or
Keep dragic he is better then lin at defense and shooting 3s
once again hes worse this year at both.

overall looks like the smart move...basically made a lateral move total talent wise, while providing flexibility and attaining the player with the most upside.

Man morey just might know what he is doing after all...geeh

with demo, who actually rolls after the pick and another offseason for asik to take his offensive game to a level never seen before, Lin will improve his asst to 8.4 a game. all he has to do now is shoot 3 more shot attempts and he will be at 15/8 which is terrific.
    harden/brooks
    lin/ beverly.
we have 48 consecutive minutes of disruptive basketball force for opposing guards to guard.
