Ok, the official line is in and Lin filled up the stat sheet again:

7 points on blistering 33% shooting, showing off his teamball skills and making everyone around him better with two assists. Also, he grabbed a rebound, cementing his status as a true workhorse. Only three turnovers...you always like to see your starting point guard have a rebound + assists total equal to his turnovers.

Lin's contract would be a bargain at twice the price.

Do you mean a starting point guard that plays shooting guard?
    Or
You meant a starting point guard like Calderon, since you watched todays game. Handled 100% of the ball, waited for sets to develop, screens, and pass to wide open players, and shoots when open?

I think you meant the real starting point guard. Sorry to say, we don't have one. We have point guard by committee on our current system.

Well this has nothing to do with Lin but dragic and Lowry are both averaging vert similar numbers to Parsons. That being said, I think Tony Douglas would be averaging more than both if he were starting.

Lol you know you're on the wrong side of the argument when JCDenton agrees with you.

I believe you are correct. Tony will be better for our current system, being an off guard. Both dragic and lowry were smart enough to get out here this year and they currently get to run their team offense. Wow, they didn't even know Harden was coming in. Harden is actually a great player, but Mchale is just clueless.

I think both LOH and LOF agree that we want Lin traded and gone. Short relationship, things didn't work out, we can still be friends.

Unless we get the opportunity to land someone that Morey calls a "foundational player" Lin/Asik are probably both off the table. But if it's someone like Love, we should give anything on the roster lol.

If someone offers an expiring + a second rounder you have to make that trade, he isn't worth his contract. I doubt we'd even get that offer though, we'd probably have to be the one giving up the pick to swap him for an expiring.

Well after this game I highly doubt Lin will get better at all through this season. Let's hope offseason training works its magic.

Ok I realize Lin isn't the best player, but you're undervaluing him.

What is the problem with Lin? He's getting torn to shreds in just about every forum after his performance tonight.

The dude can obviously play as he dropped 38/7 on the spurs, but is it just that he's not very good, is it the system, confidence, coaching, all of the above?

He's had glimpses of being a good point guard, but this season he hasn't been able to adapt and, frankly, he's been playing like a scrub. What are the solutions, trade? Change of coaching staff? Change of role?

Is the guy playing at his floor at the moment or is this what we should expect from him for the next 3 years.

JCDenton is obviously completely biased in his views based on what he thinks Lin's trade value is, but is this a guy that we should move?
