The lower level was 20% empty too. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.

    To make matters worse . . .

I was asked by security to CALM DOWN.

I was removed from section 107, row 3, seat 13 . . . which is RIGHT BEHIND Doug Collins & company.

They were saying I was cussing & that is a bunch of BULL****! ;)

In fact, as I was sitting down, I told everyone around me that I was going to be loud. Warning them ahead worked because I had a guy that stood up for me. Apparently he knew the head of security, & called him/them on my behalf saying I was NOT cussing & I was being nothing more than a FAN. A TRUE FAN.

They took me in the visitors tunnel for nearly the entire 2nd quarter. They thought I was drunk.

It was case of guilty until proven innocent & I REGRET not getting my camera out & recording the conversation. Another lucky thing was I made acquaintances with a security guard named Corwin. He's seen me many times & the very 1st time I saw him, I told him I was going to be loud & he said just don't cuss & I've followed that from since then. He was back in the tunnel & was very accommodating.

They kept going on & on about cussing which was untrue. So, I kept telling them that & they kept telling me to calm down.

    "You're telling me I can't BE A FAN?!?! I CAN'T CHEER?!?!"

Once the guy called on my behalf, their tune quickly changed. They were going to relocate me & my stepdad or eject me. I was angry then, but was still fairly calm, just agitated.

Everyone around me later was like "WTF WERE THEY DOING?" "Telling me I can't be a fan & cheer LOUDLY!"

    BAH!

    LOL

Did you see the commercial fade during the break between 1st/2nd quarter with a shot of me screaming? It was all of half a sec!

They filmed that pregame & used it later.

Also, I was on the jumbotron for a few seconds screaming too during pregame.

Every time my girl and I sit in the club seats, people around us are so irritated because we're screaming the whole game.

ame here laygo. Insat with dave in 106 to start the game and the guy behind me started asking what seat I was supposed to be SITTING in I was like this is my seat but I am standing. Then this other guy next to him said I should sit down too I told them they should all just stand up and cheer I mean its the playoffs if not now then when? I said I didn't come all the way from Cali to just sit here. The one guy was like well I appreciate that but sit down or I'll ask security to.

Chrislord was pretty upset when he heard laygo's tale and mine. Laygo had it worst he got kicked out I was just threatened. I know I would have if I stayed down there longer so I left at the first tv timeout. I didnt want to get dave in trouble with his rep who hooked up the tickets

No one was really wearing red in our section at all

I was virtually kicked out. It wasn't until the guy called head of security to vouch for me that I was able to get back in. I didn't learn that until returning to my seat.

LOL, Doug Collins turned around abruptly once to look at me screaming & I yelled "KEEP LOOKING DOUG! I'M GONNA KEEP CHEERING!"

What happened to LAYGO and YoYo just further pisses me off. This is the bull**** that happens when two great fans take time out of their schedules to travel and come and see the games? They get harassed for trying to cheer their asses off? Sit down? Sit down?

    GUESS WHAT CORPORATE DOUCHEBAGS!

THE TOYOTA CENTER ISN'T A MOVIE THEATER.

Here's a tip... Stay home and root for the Jazz, I'd rather have you do that than come to the Rockets game and not give a ****.

    Seriously.

You are disgracing the team with your apathetic presence.

The stories posted by Laygo and YoYo are eerily similar to one a Bullpen member of the Texans posted over at TexansTalk last fall. He was asked to leave the Bullpen by security because the person behind him wanted him to sit down. This is a bit like kicking out a Red Rowdy for cheering.

Clutch fans members need to contact the Rocket head office and complain enmass about this type of treatment. The Texans ended up sending a letter to the bullpen member this happened to, basically apologizing and saying they would make sure the staff was better trained.

If the season ticket holders would contact the head office and clearly and calmly state their postition, maybe attitudes could be changed. The Rockets are a business, and it hurts their bottom line if the fans are displeased.

I hope that Les learned a lesson this season about ticket sales. During the streak, tickets sales were boosted immeasurably. Put a good product on the floor, and people will come.

Screw 'em. Screw all of those fair weather fans.

I had more fun in the upper bowl with Dave2000, YoYo, Moe and the rest of the CF folks. I was offered the seats that YoYo and MoesT are speaking of, and after hearing what they went through, I said no thanks. I had a blast in my top-most seat in the arena. Everyone around me was a true fan. We had a great view, and the energy up there rocked.

I'll also add that selling all of those seats to corporate folks is great money, but it's a short-sighted investment. The players feed off of the energy- imagine if we had a crowd down there like we do in the upper bowl? We might actually have a shot at the second round. Players would play harder. Les would get more TV money for another playoff round, he would be able to sell more seats in his stadium. If we start winning big time because of that energy, more people would come to games, there would be sellouts all of the time. But Les Alexander would rather have corporate douchebags sitting down there with their guaranteed money.

At the very least, there needs to be a change in policy. If there are die-hard, crazy fans in the stands, let them stand and cheer and bring the energy, which is infectious, by the way. Don't kick them out. Let them bring it.

The rockets have priced their fans right out of the building unfortunately.

Well over half of the people in the lower bowl got their tickets via contracts, client favors, corporate bonus, etc.

Those tickets are sold, and Les is making his money, but at what cost?

This is unfortunately something that we just have to deal with. We tried to instill the Red Rowdies to change the environment.... and as GREAT as they are, it's just not getting to the heads of the corporate a-holes. It makes me angry and embarassed watching this on TV... but this is how it is and we just have to deal with it.

It pisses me off so much to see that. I turned to rodrick_98 last night and said, "Do those people down there in the baby blue shirts even know they're supporting the f#cking Jazz?" It was so EMBARASSING. National TV and there are more blue shirts than red shirts down there. Going down to the lower bowl should've been a great experience for us. But Derek and I felt like lepers down there! The chick next to me kept moving to the other side of the seat like I was the grossest person in existence. We were decked out in all red and cheering and kept getting dirty looks.

Apparently it's NOT cool for corporate people to wear team colors or look "into" the game. The "apathetic observer" fans are the coolest! I was so glad when we went back up with all the plebeians, the true fans. GOD I hate the corporate culture in the Toyota center. It is infuriating.

I agree with you for the seats from baseline to baseline...however, my season tix are in 112, and the sections behind each basket actually get pretty hyped for the games...i can vouch for that...

I saw them escort you into the tunnel. I told the guys I was with "I met that guy in Dallas. He is a clutchfans member. I think that's Laygo"

Saw you protesting the guys and then you disappeared into the tunnel. I was sitting right above the tunnel in Section 102.

Yeah, the lower bowl was bad, but it was 100 times better than in the regular season

The upper bowl has it's flaws too, especially around the Sky Court. During Game 1 I saw some fans shooting hoops while the game was going on...seriously...why even show up if you're not gonna watch.
