They won't be on the DVD. The dots are a code to note a specific print (and therefore, the location) to make it easier to track down where a pirated movie came from. So unless you buy a bootleg off the street that was filmed with a camcorder in a theater, you won't have the dots on your DVD.

Speaking of which, I just bought a ROTK DVD bootleg off the street today and watched the best parts of the movie at work. (It's a telesync copy and not that great, quality-wise, but hey, it plays...)

(Truly one of the only reasons to live in NYC...)

Thanks for the description mrpaige. I'm surprised more people didn't object to it. It was pretty big and noticable.

Vesceysux - I see a different version of ROTK for download every couple of days, but I resisssssttt the temptation. But one would have to risk the copyright police coming after you in order to take a look at it.

    Finally saw it today.

Wow. By far the best of the 3 imo. Felt my heart in my throat a few times there. :)

Yeah things could've been done to make it a little better, but it was still hella good. Gollum rox.

I really loved this movie. I am so excited about the extended DVD version. The one thing I really missed that was not present in the movie was Saruman. They should have had him in the movie. Oh well. I think I am going to go and see it one more time, I have to check to see if my VISA is still good so I can drive to Bahrain to see it.

Just saw it this morning...wow. What a great movie. Some bits were I felt could have been better: Denethor's death, climb up Mt Doom seemed rushed, as did the Paths of the Dead. But great film otherwise.

Shelob was cool...loved how she came from above. And I admit, I nearly cried towards the end. Very emotional. Can't believe it's over....:(

Great triology of movies, I thought that last one was the least well organized and impactful however.

The 1st one was slow at times but rocked after about 1 hour and develops the characters and facets of it all.

The 2nd one they just did a tremendous job of building throughout to the Helms Deep battle and was simply awesume in the delivery of it.

The 3rd one I just don't think they built the drama equal to what they did at Helms Deep, and left more context out that would have helped explain what was going on relative to the first two.

Again, great series, but I put Twin Towers #1, Fellowship #2 and Return #3, at least until my next viewing of Return because admittedly I had huge expectations and perhaps am being harsh.

    WoW. Excellent movie.

I had high expectations and it shattered them. I felt the end dragged just a bit, but Jackson seemed to be trying to close up a lot of loose ends, I guess to stay true to the books, which I'll have to read now.

Out of all of the trilogies ever made this is top 3 if not the best. Great building from each movie to the next. I kept waiting for some sort of let down or flaws in the movie, the 3hrs really flew by.

I really enjoyed the score in this movie also, excellent job.

Liv Tyler is soooo hot. :D
