There was on Taqueria I used to visit occasionally. And I always got great service when the owner was there. But when I would go if the owner wasn't present I would invariably be served after each and every single customer of hispanic desent.

But ya know as a white man, I have never experienced any really nasty racism. So I just chalked up the slow torta service to the idea that if that is the worst racism I ever have to experience. I am blessed indeed. I didn't even grudge the taqueria my business (though I did learn to look for the owners car)

I didn't know you were supposed to tip at Sonic. I've never done it because it was fast food.

Looking at the OCP yearbook picture, maybe it was the scimitar or RPG.

I have never heard of Cracker Barrel having incidents of racist behavior in the past. This woman's claim is ridiculous. just casue she had to wait a little while for her food she wants to sue them! Ive had to wait at CB for 30 minnutes and I never thought about suing them.

This is just another made-for-tv extortion campaign being put forth by the King of Extortion himself -- Al Sharpton. Now that Jester Jackson's name is so besmirched as a result of his philandering ways, he has had to remove himself from the spotlight (no cred). Reverend (snicker) Al has stepped up to the plate to make sure that the race card is played at every opportunity and that concessions (handouts) are extorted out of the rest of society (note: this includes non-whites). Nothing like falling back to the white guilt card on the eve of an important election cycle. Time to rally the black vote! Stir 'em up with a little us vs. them racism talk!

How can people not see through this simpleton to see what his motives are? The man is a circus. His latest stunt is so incredibly transparent that I question the intelligence of any man who buys into it. Let's see... take a famous person's mom (playing on sympathies and emotions), put her in a restaurant that sounds like it could be racist (Cracker Barrel), make up some an accusation that is darn near impossible to prove or disprove, and poof! You've got a lawsuit, headlines, a political rallying cry, and a prod for society to give blacks more handouts out of white guilt. It's ludicrous.

I am not sure if this was serious or sarcastic but I know plenty of people who do not tip at Sonic, black and white. My white girlfriend never does but my black friend always does. Why? Maybe my girlfriend thinks it's just a fast food place and no big deal. Maybe my black friend, who used to be a waiter, knows how it is. Who says you have to tip ANY server anyway. Sure, it's the right thing to do but it is not required. Yes, I tip everybody that serves me food and/or drink from the pizza delivery to drive-ins to dine-ins.

Aw, that's too bad. I actually like that place.

Damn, that's pretty horrible service. I'd be pissed if I had to wait 30 mintues (unless the place was packed wall-to-wall and even then it's kinda iffy...)

I hate to say it, but I've been a tip based employee for the past 5.5 years and it's true...black folks tend to be crappy tippers.

Funny thing is, he (burzmali) probably wouldn't be served at Cracker Barrel either. Wonder how he'd feel then. Probably a little more sympathetic with black folks, I'd imagine.

I stop at Cracker Barrel in a small Mississippi town each time I drove back and forth from college. (Houston to Atlanta.)

Love the place, never had any problems. If I did, it would be a simple fix. Not go back there.

I was at BW3's watching a Stros game in August, and a black couple next to me left a 1 cent tip on a 50+ tab. I thought maybe they left some on a credit card that we didn't see, but we asked the bartender who we know. Nope. I was amazed that somebody would leave 1 penny. Wouldn't it just be better to not tip at all?

Anyway, I have no idea if black people in general tip better or worse, I've never been a waiter. Just commenting on Jeeber's post.
