This summer, the Clips need to beg Orlando to trade them Dwight for Griffin and DeAndre. Otherwise, if Orlando clears cap space for 2013, CP3 is off to the Magic Kingdom.

    but they play on saturday

Billups is badly missed but seriously I would say this is more of a coaching issue than anything

VDN is not a good coach IMO he took a chicago team and they did super poor and then surprised people in the playoffs taking Boston to 7 games but then it was like they underachieved throughout the season. Then Thibs takes over and the Bulls have one of the best records in the NBA now 2 seasons in a row.

So what does VDN get? Another coaching offer when there are plenty of other great basketball minds (though unproven) out there who havent had a chance to be a head coach yet. I dont know if the clippers/sterling will ever pony up for a top flight head coach but they should have gone after Adelman aggressively this past year after he parted with Houston. Or keep trying to convince JVG out of broadcasting. I mean its probably good for the Rockets the team does poorly because of poor coaching but it would have been amazing to see what that team could have achieved with proper coaching.

I still believe that they could have been even better w/o Paul if they had a top tier coach

    Billups/Williams/Foye
    Gordon/Young
    Butler/Aminu
    Griffin/Kenyon
    Jordan/Kaman

not the 'star power' of Paul but far more balanced and much deeper

They are a young team still learning how to win with consistent effort. They have all the talent, and need to develop the mindset.

I would not put any more stock in the Clippers losing to the Suns than we did in the Rockets losing to the Cavs and Raptors.

Teams go through funks, they will be fine, and a serious contender at the end of the year.

True Cod, but when you add in Griffin, Jordan, and now Young, they have a lot to learn about effort and winning, and none of those guys have ever won it all other than Butler on Dallas last year and he was injured.

Each team has individual chemistry, and they are still developing theirs, they will be fine.

I'm sure you mean Brooks/Martin. Budinger held his own for the most part before Brooks was traded.

I thought they were going to be real fun to watch in the beginning of the season. They were for a bit, then I guess Vinny screwed things up.

Good, since I never liked Griffin since the media blew him up in college.
