Freedom can not be agreed on in itself. Freedom to do what?

I don't know. I have done it both ways. Living in sin was pretty darn fun. (I sometimes say it was the best part.)

Good point. We are one of the most free countries in the nation. But many people still feel our government still has too much control.

However, we still have the freedom to do, think, say...what we want. We just might not like the consequences.

For example, take the Dixie Chicks. Their supporters say that it's America and they can say what they want. Many of the people against their statement say, yes, they can say what they want, but we don't have to listen to them, we can stop buying their merchandise and they can pay for what they said.

Hey if we can all agree shouldn't it be in the hangout thread where the more delicately inclined hangout without controversy.

Look, buddy, I don't think that kind of comment is productive here! Take it and your tired rhetoric back to the hangout where you belong!!!

(just trying to keep the thread argumentative so it will stay here)

    :D

Not necessarily. I don't agree with with the nations based on love ideal that he's promoting.

However, no one has chosen to agrue with me yet. I figured I'd meet some resistance.

I don't like them...but I can't really say they suck. In all honesty, because I don't really know.

We could agree on the fact that we don't like them! ;)

The DH rule is the biggest copout in God's world. Pitchers should and need to hit in order to be full participants. Besides, it gives a roster spot to some dried up, over the hill slugger who can hit for power (Jose Canseco) but do little else.

Well if the NL had a DH then Oswalt wouldn't have gotten hurt and be out for the year.

Pitchers are too important to a team and too highly paid to risk getting injured doing something most of them aren't good at doing anyway.

I'm pretty sure it was Roy O's pitching that caused his groin injury. Most of a pitcher's power comes from the legs and it can be stressful on the groin area.
