The Les Strategy: We Are Experiencing the Worst-Case Scenario

Do the Rockets even deserve to be in the playoffs? Losing this way when they had control of their own destiny, for the first time in the last 3 years we had a playoff spot that was ours to lose down the stretch, and hell we lost it in spectacular fashion. What a let down. They threw a whole year of cheering down the drain, just like that, the time we invested as fans of a playoff pretender was all for nothing. And this is the worst damage the organization can inflict in us fans, after a big charade,* they have led us to wallow in the muddy, stagnant waters of their pond. too harsh a term because I know they had as much faith as us)

*(too harsh a term, because they had as much faith if not more than us, but it still feels that way)

The strategy is broken, I know it can still work but after 3 years of the same ol' same mediocre results, I as a fan demand for it to change.

I've always been against the tank, but if you borrow DD's (super)power of hindsight, you would see what was the most convenient and natural thing to do after the last playoff run, and that applies to each year after that. Sadly, I think Morey might get canned before he and Les decide to change the course, that's unless they don't share the trait of stubbornness that most other front offices have.

How much pointless failure can you take? I'm not going to pay attention if we're still in limbo next year. I wish I could go nap in Rocket indifference and be woken up when we get out of the depths of Hell and at least reach the Mountain of Purgatory, that way being a fan of the Rockets will have a purpose, something I lost in the last week and a half because the scrappy-underdog-overachieving believe system has collapsed.
