That is Hakeems' Sugarland home Come take a look: http://search.har.com/engine/1305-N-Horseshoe-Drive-Sugar-Land-TX-77478_HAR65236472.htm
What a beautiful house! Is it really Hakeem's house? it doesn't say in the description. I thought it would make good publicity...
Yes it is. Sports Illustrated did an interview/article in 1992 with Hakeem and it had several pics of him in this house where he was residing at the time.
Careful you might fall in. If that toilet is specially designed for a 7 footer your foot might be left hanging off the side. When a 7 foot NBA player tries to sell me something I always think of Shaq in the Buick commercial. He's there trying to tell me its roomy when he looks like a sardine in a can.
He's one of my neighbors; I live just around the corner. He really hasn't lived there in years. When he comes home from Jordan, he's usually at his ranch in Katy. He has a basketball goal with a counterweight on it that looks like it's made of Tinker Toys that's not pictured. That was always our favorite part of his house growing up. He came by my house one day when we were replacing a mailbox.
I'm not impressed. Not worth 4.5 mil Imo. Its plain and boring, no personality at all. I wonder if he actually lived there
Beautiful house. So clean and classy compared to the usual gaudy monstrosities that players build. Hakeem's house looks like nice fusion of minimalist modern with Subtle Islamic motifs. I love Robert Horry, but his house that was for sale was really tacky, with different colors and materials in every room.
Inside the NBA had a segment when Hakeem was retiring; Hakeem showed that house to Jim Huber in that segment (starts around 1:35). <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6ZXFfb1POMY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Damn, I grew up with that lake in my backyard. Swam in that brown water every day all summer long. Makes me nostalgic. *sniff*
