Ok I understood the Zaheer extra powers when it happened but the info on Tenzin makes so much sense now.

the creators have said there won't be any more animated stories in the Avatar world beyond book 4 of Korra. They didn't even want to do anything passed Last Airbender, but Nick gave them a bunch of money and preceded to screwed them throughout the process. I guess after 10 years they are burned out and don't want to be just known for just Avatar. Can't wait to see what is next for them though, hope it is more cartoons.

Interview from IGN with the creators of Avatar and Korra about the Book 3 finale and Korra game. Extremely small look into Book 4, Zaheer insight into why he was so damn good at air bending, and a more candid response to Korra going digital only.

So, my question last page if Zaheer was a next level martial artist.. yes, yes he is.

With all of the awesome scenes this season, I still think the scene below from season 2 is the best ever in the entire series. Hell, probably one of the best scenes I've ever seen, period (sorry for the video quality).

So much deep, sad stuff going on, and these are the "bad guys."

Wow, you're right. Guess this scene still sits with me more than all of season 2.

Miyazaki kept saying he was finished. Thirty years later, we are all the better for it.

I just marathoned through seasons 2 and 3. And man, season 3 was great. Animation, fight scenes, deaths.

I really, really want there to be more Avatar stories beyond Korra's and I really want another network avenue to pick up the show so the creators can take it to its full potential. At least 2 more stories/series would be nice: earth bender Avatar and then Fire.

Interesting that this thread was bumped. I was actually going to bump it last night because I had finished the show (been lurking this thread for a while). I had a lot of spare time after I got injured in basketball; college ball just sucks the life out of you sometimes.

I was incredibly disappointed how they made the White Lotus society a bunch of scrubs. Seriously, they turned from a bunch of old awesome benders to the typical guards that get owned every time an antagonist gets free.

    Season 1
I felt like this was the lesser of the seasons.
Was it just me, or did benders seem incredibly weak in general? I know they wanted to emphasize non-bending powers, but still.

    Season 2
This was a great season. The ending was incredible.

    Season 3
Does anybody know why Korra didn't go into the avatar state when she was chained up? I thought it was a defense mechanism.
Also, after she broke from the chains, why wouldn't she create the ball of destruction that wrecks everything?
SO GLAD TENZIN STEPPED UP; loved that.
I hope that the majority of season four does not contain a crippled avatar...

Dude, I was so glad to see that. I knew that it would happen; he was kinda getting dumped on the whole show. I actually started getting audibly giddy.

Probably because they severed the contact to the past avatars. I was hoping that they would restore the connections to the past avatar somehow because that is one of the better parts of the show :(

Yea, it was a heart-racer. I was so surprised when Mako did the lightning, I jumped a bit out of my chair... er... bed

I was curious about Legend of Korra because of the hype my FB friends gave it and then I finished seasons 1-3 this weekend and was thoroughly impressed. The animation is very high quality and the story is great. I didn't watch the first Avatar series so I can't really make a comparison but Legend of Korra can stand on its own in my opinion. It almost had a Naruto appeal to it.

Well, Book 1 had those chi-blocking soldier people. I'm not exactly sure why those guys disappeared off the face of the earth, but whatever. You'd think like, there'd be a faction of them still willing to carry out Amon's goals, even though that situation didn't turn out well for Amon.

In Book 3, it was probably her willpower NOT to go into the Avatar state when poisoned. But I think the poison overrode her ability to suppress the AS, and she went full bananas afterwards.

And it's not that she wouldn't create the Aang Elemental wrecking ball used to take out Ozai - it's that she couldn't because the poison weakened her. It's more surprising that she put up a good fight tbh.

Ah I feel ya. I am already re-watching the TLAB with plans on re-watching LoK as well. I have already noticed that I was thinking lesser of LoK because the finale of Avatar; however, when comparing to the average episode, LoK is looking just as good and more action-packed to me. This show has so much genius in it.

They're showing the first 4 episodes of season 3 on Nicktoons from Monday-Thursday. Not sure if they're going to show all episodes on Nicktoons or what.

    Season 4 premiers October 3!

I assumed this would start up spring or summer 2015. Cannot wait to see how they conclude this. Arrow, Gotham, Flash, and Korra. Going to be a fun fall TV lineup.

It's crazy how determined Nick is to plow through all of these episodes and get them out of the way, but I'm not going to complain about this. Can't wait for season 4! Less than a month away!

LOL classic Nickelodeon. They arent even going to try and pretend like they care anymore. I wonder if the creators feel disrespected in anyway. I mean, Nick really treated them and their product like ****. Cant wait to read the (book/blog post) about their time with the network.

    with that said..

How can Nick not want the demographic that this show pulls in? Really surprising.

What are they wanting to promote instead of this?
