Yeah, I never read Ebert's reviews beforehand because he spoils every movie without a spoiler warning. Only once in a while does he post a spoiler alert.
I thought it was ok but i dont think its as good as you guys are saying. I was really drunk when i went though, and was with a girl i liked a lot (shes hot to). So maybe i wasnt paying as much attention as needed.
Yes. While we are at it, there is another all time classic by Kurosawa, the Seven Samurais, that's worthy of checking out.
Now we'll be getting into Debate and Discussion tomorrow! I didn't think *that* highly of Last Samurai, but have yet to see ROTK.
I saw it today with a packed Christmas crowd. The great thing about seeing it a few weeks after its release was that there were no punks with cell phones in the theatre. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was great from start to finish.
