Right now? Because we can't get stops. And if we do, we either give up an offensive board or can't score on the other end. How the hell can you go on a run when you give up 119.5 PPG to the other team? Think about that. 119.5 PPG. That's 30 points a quarter. 2.5 points a minute. You're not gonna put together a lot of runs when your opponent is allowed to score that often.
One game at a time...if we win game 5 and have some confidence rhen u never know what happens in Game 6. Harden and Howard could go off or one of the role players steps up. That's what being a fan is....never giving up until it's over....and if it happens all the bandwagon fans will jump right back on..
I wish that last night's game was worth 2 losses. It's just too painful watching these shenanigans. And watching Reggie Miller drool all over himself over Blake Griffin and Matt Barnes.
Heart and Hustle! Now that their backs are against the wall even more, I hope to see more effort than ever before. Also, Mchale needs to run the death out of the pick and roll with Dwight and gave 4 guards in the game, this way if they crowd the paint, you can pass to the 3 and have a higher chance than smith and jones do.
You never knew what would happen in Game 3. Rox got blown out. You never knew what would happen in Game 4. Rox got blown out. You never know what will happen in Game 5. ???
Conference Semifinals (2) Houston Rockets vs. (3) Phoenix Suns: Rockets win series 4–3 Game 1 @ The Summit, Houston (May 8): Phoenix 91, Houston 87 Game 2 @ The Summit, Houston (May 11): Phoenix 124, Houston 117 (OT) Game 3 @ America West Arena, Phoenix (May 13): Houston 118, Phoenix 102 Game 4 @ America West Arena, Phoenix (May 15): Houston 107, Phoenix 96 (Kevin Johnson's famous dunk on Hakeem Olajuwon) Game 5 @ The Summit, Houston (May 17): Houston 109, Phoenix 86 Game 6 @ America West Arena, Phoenix (May 19): Phoenix 103, Houston 89 Game 7 @ The Summit, Houston (May 21): Houston 104, Phoenix 94 (The Rockets become the second team to win a playoff series after losing the first 2 games at home.) Last Playoff Meeting: This is the first meeting between the Rockets and Suns.
Thinking about the past or the most likely outcome in the next few days will get you down real quick. I'm just going watch the game, enjoy 48 minutes of basketball in a vacuum, and root for a win of course. I can see the Rockets pulling it out - a return back home and the Clips might actually come out lackadaisical. This series has shown they don't have much reason to be concerned, even though a playoff team's priority should be to end a series ASAP. I guess we'll see.
I just hope they play better than they did in the second halves in LA. If they win one, they can win another, but so far they aren't showing much intensity, the stars are being defended well, the role players are nowhere to be seen, and in general we aren't shooting well. Can't win with all that going on, but you'd think we could at least look a little more like ourselves than this. Let's get a W at home and go from there.
For me, ALL I want is a game 5 win and a damn close game 6 That's it. the rockets really scrooed the pooch in game 1.
Congratulations, the thread where the choke city game becomes a hard-fought OT loss rather than the nadir of franchise playoff history represents a new low in postgame loss stupidity.
y'all mean one blowout at a time? seriously, tho, not this series. not w/ the current makeup of this team - from coaching staff to the key players. no. prove me wrong. please.~
I guess these guys are used to getting crapped on during the summer. If it is about effort, you would think they show up for 48 mins and spare themselves the ridicule of being absolute loosers all summer long. And the owner thinks getting to this round is the best he could hope for? THATs the exact reason why the Rockets are in this position. No sense of urgency.
We all know you're just trolling and you have a very strong track record of being wrong on just about everything, but I gave my prediction on this series before it started: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=10589 Of course you conveniently failed to do so.
