We decided to go back to SA after the Sonics game, but no body told us there was still some Shiner Bock left in the bottom of the keg. Sorry we missed the " finish the keg party" ..we had a GREAT TIME, We gotta do this again next year. Only wish we could have met more of the cc.net gang.

WOW!! The brisket at Behad's was awesome... I'm sorry I missed HeyP's brisket cause I really can't compare the two. I will say that Behad's brisket is some really good stuff and by far the best brisket I've had in a loooooooong time. To those of you that couldn't make it, you really missed out! Thanks to Behad and his wife for putting this together along with their neighbors who brought fixin's as well. The turnout was something like this, Behad and the Mrs., Smeg and Mrs. Smeg, Heyp and HeySchweetie, R2K, deanb, antisonic and myself. Pics to come... R2K took photos as well as Behad, R2K and myself... I'm sure someone will post some.

Yeah, so *ahem*, moderators feel free to deduct one post from Behad's total and add it to mine. Finally got to (briefly) meet the notorious pbp & image god, rockHEAD! Fun laid back evening. Shot around for a while and Smeg showed us some bizarre Australian ritual they call football. ... Behad and his wife were the coolest, and very accomodating hosts to boot. It should also be noted that Behad cooks an awesome brisket. Anyway, it was a blast hanging out with everybody again! Another thanks to heypartner for organizing everything, and thanks to Behad & family for everything today. Here's to a safe trip home and happily ever after for the Smeg Family! (I'd tell Dean to take care too, but he's not leaving til later this week. )
The thans were there, but we were hiding them from you!... Had great fun, even if my girl terrorized the hell outta Mini-Behad.. you're gonna have to get that boy some serious counseling after this. Brisket was good stuff, I must let everyone know that when the man brags about his beef, he aint just whistling Dixie. His goes up in the Top5 brisket I have had in my life, and the other 4 were done at professional cook-offs...that should tell ya enough about that. It's a shame more of yall couldn't make it cause it was alot of fun. Burning questions were answered this weekend.. 1) rockHEAD really isnt a grouchy old man, he just plays one on TV. 2) deanbcurtis is in real life twice as weird as many of you think....but imo, that aint a bad thing. 3) Contrary to popular belief, Manny and The Cat can be in the same room without killin each other(and I have pics to prove it.) 4) Mango is indeed a machine dressed up as a Rockets fan. 5) zzhiggins has a multiple personality disorder, and 3 of those personalities look like smaller King Kong Bundys. but great guys (for Spurs fans) Cheers to the bride and groom, and thanks for a great time to Heypartner, Behad, Smeg and their better halfs(and I do mean better)
Thank you ALL for your warmth and friendliness, both Donna and I have greatly appreciated everything yall have done for us while we have been deep in the heart of Texas. It was great meeting everybody at either the viewing party, the pick-up game, BBQ and the Sonics game. I am sure the board will go nuts about the missing of the playoffs, but thanks to the people who we have stayed with and/or met while we have been in Texas, the rockets results were really secondary. Thanks for the wedding presents, we be able to start a lovely rockets bobblehead shrine when i get home, athough the Mooch bobblehead may suffer fatal injurieson the trip home . Also thanks to R2K, Lynus, DaDakota, R03 and Rockhead for their gifts. Big thanks to Mango and HeyP and others for the smeggy website, as soon as i get home i will go nuts and get up 100s of pictures from the weekends events. Special thanks to the HeyPartner family and the Behad family for their hospitality, organisation, food, conversation, open arms and accomodation. Love Smeg and Mrs Smeg PS behad's brisket and ribs are unbuckinbelievable!!!!!!
