    I just made the thread as a response to the constant refrain of posters saying that we are better off without gay.

    i do feel people underestimate gay, vastly. that's one reason i wish he was able to match up with kd this year, it'd definitely be gay's coming out party, you can bank on that.

    you don't want to make the NBA dish the same way as the GARM (like are we better w/o yao or tmac kind of threads). it's unbearable.

    those guys don't watch basketball so who cares? people who watch some basketball know how good of ball player gay is and how much he has matured this year? he really is one of their leaders.

    and yes w/ gay, memphis would win in 6.

    Your handle sums up my reaction pretty nicely.
    Clippers made it some noise and so did the warriors a few years back, but their blue moon runs didn't lift them out of the eternal inferno they have been stuck in the West. I sure hope the Griz will feed off this year's run better than those two teams.

    The rockets have had similar runs. They've gotten out of the first round once in nearly 20 years. Blue moon?

    Do some of yall still believe yall are 1 piece away from a championship?

    Think he was a Grizz fan when he signed up in 2003.

    Bu since the team has finally had some sort of success after all these years, he's been smoking that green and sipping that liquor too much, and posting in every thread of the BBS.

    This is what is going to happen.... FACT the Grizzlies do not have a franchise player, in fact, most of their players are not good 2-way players.

    The Grizzlies will win 45-50 games again and fight to get out of the first round, if they are lucky.... assuming they don't crash and burn.

    They are the equivalent to the Warriors a few years ago....good but flawed players, that caught teams at the right time.

    Rudy Gay is what he is, and won't make the Grizzlies any better...

    So enjoy while you can, but no Kobe, LBJ or Rose is walking through that door, and the Grizzlies are not going anywhere /thread

    Interesting, because that is how I would describe Rudy Gay.

    He is a BLACK HOLE on offense. He doesn't pass the ball once he gets it. His assist/to ratio is TERRIBLE.

    His team plays better with him off the court.

    Rox won the title in 95 and were a frequent playoff team since 2003, so no comparison there.

    Make no mistake the Griz goes only as Randolph goes, and that guy is one explosion away from being the old Zbo.You know he is going to be unhappy about something down the road, that's a given.

    I hate that the Grizzlies are out of the playoffs but at least the main page won't be half covered with Grizzlie-related topics. The clutter was getting ridiculous.
