well, people in the GARM are the same:

Rockets win: rockets are going to the Finals
Rockets lose: rockets are not going to make the playoffs.

There have been way too many instances where the Texans have just been abused/outplayed under Kubiak's tenure. It has been going on for years, not just this year. The Texans aren't even competitive and that shows that they did not show up ready to play.

This year it's been the Cowboys and Giants, as well as the 1st half of the Redskins game.

Last year the Jets romped all over us, the Cardinals dominated us for the 1st half, let's not forget the horrible play call with Chris Brown in the endzone in Jacksonville.

I believe that a better coach would have put us in the Playoffs last year.

I wanted Kubiak gone last year.

While I agree we Texans fans are really reactionary, in our defense, some of us have been questioning Kubiak's play-calling and decison-making even after the wins. This isn't just a reaction to a loss, though of course the L does amplify the effect.

i'm with you. i don't know if it's on McNair or the guys advising him. but in an uncapped year...with the core we already had...we added nothing. nothing.

Yep, biggest problem I have with the team right now. Uncapped year and a team that didn't have an over the cap payroll anyway, and not only do we not ADD anything, but we subtract.

    Inexplicable.

Normally if a player isn't playing well, my frustration gets directed at him..as a fan.

Not this year with this secondary. Our shortcomings were shortcomings before the season ever started...and we had ample time to address those issues...and we ignored them. In a year where there were no restrictions.

He needs to go with his strengths and stop trying to pass to start games. He is starting to look like Jason Garrett. A lot of that is on the players executing.

You cannot play catchup if you haven't established a running game. Thats a lot of the reason why shaub got sacked so much. Because the defense reads the play.

Which brings me to another point. I know exactly what he's going to do at all times. I hate when he passes on first downs and the is forced to pass on second downs. when he gets nothing on those two he has to pass on third down too.

Look some of it is on the players for not making plays, but the coach has to put the in position.

Also, has anyone noticed Dante Robinson has been playing great these last two games or so. Are we building for the future? Im sure the texans couldve squeezed another one year deal out of robinson. It's an upcapped year!!! This isn't really on Kubiak but Im sure he had a say in it.

Great guy, terrible coach. We could easily be 2-3 because of his decision making.

I think it is a well known fact that anyone can throw against the Texans. If Case Keenum is signed by the chiefs right now, he will still be able to have a qb rating of 100. Exaggeration??? Barely. He would have all time to set his crutch back and throw a bomb.

this is why i'm tired of hearing about our run defense.

because no one is running the ball.

i heard on the post-game show yesterday on 610 that the Giants had never won with Manning throwing the ball 40 times before yesterday...and they didn't just win yesterday..they dominated.

they rarely ran...yet they completely controlled the time of possession.

this is the blueprint to beat the Texans. streak your receivers down the sidelines and find the generous zone between corner and safety. 15-20 yard play nearly every time, provided you execute.

do that a few times, and you'll find the Texans will soften up on the line....now you hit your receiver on shorter routes, but they're getting about a 7 yard cushion because the corners don't trust themselves and they're scared they'll get burned deep again.

honestly, my 10 year old could scheme that out. he was watching yesterday with me saying, "can we please blitz a safety? or a corner? it's not like they're bothering to cover anyone anyway!"

I think he should be the Defensive Coordinator

I would love to see your 10 yr old give the defense a stirring speech
    about how they sucked

I'm beginning to wonder what the breaking point for Kubes is this year.

Lets say he goes 9-7, makes the playoffs, but gets bounced in the first round.

    Is he kept on?

What if he goes 10-6, but doesn't make the playoffs?

Is he given his walking papers?

Certainly 9-7 without the playoffs would be a real tough call for McNair.

These home losses, in embarrassing fashion, to inferior teams, are inexcusable.

With one more year on his contract, you're most likely right.

But there has to be a tipping point somewhere.

Bob McNair has done nothing to indicate to me that he would fire Kubiak after a 9-7 season, regardless of playoffs.

donny, i respect your patience and level-headedness but i cannot watch a team play like a bunch of p*****s. they do it all the time! i would rather us fire pubes now and play loose and let the chips fall where they may. we are going nowhere this year. perhaps we make the playoffs, but even so, we are not tough enough to do any damage there. we gotta face reality.
