they were containing him pretty well but i agree with your overall premise. regardless of whether or not you blame kubes for this loss, it is painfully obvious that this team is not going to turn the corner with him as our head coach. time to move on.
I've been against firing Kubiak for a while now. I think the incremental improvement was apparent and that we were about to take the next step this year. We finally get a great running back to go along with our passing attack and a first round corner back to help in the secondary. Then we stumble. We choked. Our defense sucks and our offense bogs down. The play calls are often horrendous and he seems to go AWAY from the hot hand (Foster). Not only that, but he's admitted to calling a third down play without knowing what to do on fourth down; he's coaching play-to-play which is awful. He needs to go. This team cannot move forward with him as coach. We will be stuck in mediocrity with him. This is apparent to me now. The only way he can possibly save his job is getting to the playoffs; only then will I reconsider my position. He might still need to win in the playoffs, too.
why go into a no huddle pass attack when you're only down 6 with enough timeouts and time on the clock?
stop. just stop. foster was used out of the backfield. go away. you don't know what you are talking about.
Time to dump Kubiak. he makes a lot of stupid decisions down the stretch of games. Kubiak is the best 8-8 coach in NFL history.
LL, In the first half the Texans used him in the flat a lot and it was awesome, they went away from it late, and didn't use it at all in the last 2 drives, other than one VERY successful screen pass. And please stop saying people don't know...just because you don't agree or don't like them... Everyone has an opinion and a lot of us are upset that the team lost. DD
I do. It's almost like he forgets why the Defensive coordinator before him got fired. When you sit back in a zone, without the D line of the bucs from the early 2000s, even david carr can tear you up. I wish they would adopt the philosophy of some teams..blitz early and blitz often. They're going to get beat anyways, at least that way you can rattle the Qb.
Sanchez checking off to his running backs has more to do with his inability to throw it consistently down the field and going for more of a safe route.
lolwut? are you talking about a pop warner team? HAHAHAHAHA, well I just won a chip on Madden 2011. pffft.
Believe me I want Cowher but I don't know if he goes back into coaching right away after his wife and dad died this year. I am not a Gruden fan.
Yeah, but we had FOSTER as our safe route, he is our best offensive player right now with AJ hurting. Got to get your best guy the ball, right? DD
I am not saying you don't know football, just that you continually say someone else doesn't when you have no clue what they know or don't know. Either way, I know you are upset that the team lost again, I get it, I am not happy either. DD
I can no longer defend Kubiak. This team just makes one dumbass game decision after another. Something has to change.
With time running out, they were going for bigger plays, more often than not, running backs arnt gonna break those big. I didn't really have a problem with the play calling Jesus, listening to this Kubiak interview, I hate him more. No passion, no intensity, just matter of fact.
you dont know what you are talking about, because you are trying compare apples to oarnges (i.e. mark sanchez checking down = houston texans should do the same) then you try to back it up with your success in pop warner football. I would rather the Texans would have won, but I'm not upset that they lost. for the 100th time...I AM A KANSAS CITY CHIEFS FAN.
