But who knows, one could argue that more flexibility/freedom down at the G-league helps boost ones confidence and overall game.
Haha. Good one. Maybe go back a ways and read some other posts. You might humble yourself. If people only realised useless posts like this leads you nowhere. You know what else leads you nowhere? Having an utterly worthless and inadequate owner who turned a 65 win championship contender into the laughing stock of the league in as little as just three short years! BAZINGA
Agree with those saying that KJ has already exceeded expectations. I never expected him to play as well as he has since returning from RGV. Also agree with those that hope he works on his shot and ball handling this offseason. His height and length make it difficult to see him as a full time 4 (even with those hops) and he needs to improve those skills to be a 3. But even if this is who he is he is, a quality piece off the pine, which is more than I expected and more than you think you'll get from a 20 year old second rounder. Kudos to KMart, Stone and co.
Go back and watch his first NBA game and you will see a player who was clearly not ready. After the Rockets saw that they knew he needed more time. The worst thing you could do to anyone is destroy their confidence. The Rockets did the right thing in letting him feast in the G league.
His father was more physical and perhaps more explosive with greater strength, but his attitude was quite negative. I do have to admit that he attacked a huge Shaq at his peak in the paint successfully with great force despite being so much smaller than him in the NBA finals.
idk why more people arent commenting on the dunk. legitimately one of the best in game dunks ive ever seen. dude absolutely posterizes collins who is known for his jumping ability...
His dad was a bit of a knucklehead at times but that dude gave 110% percent. His motor was elite which is surprising when you have that kind of athletic ability. KJ got his dad's motor and the athletic ability which is rare to have a high work ethic and motor when you are the son of a professional. Kenyon did something right because KJ seems to want it. Kenyon passed that chip on his shoulder down to his son so sky is the limit for a player like that.
The most underrated aspect of Kenyon Martin was his intelligence on the court, especially as a defender. The guy came into the league wise beyond his years. KJ seems to have the same comfort and awareness on the court.
I can understand your frustrations. This is how pitiful the franchise is, and it's only three years into Fertitta's ownership.. id love to wear some rose coloured glasses with you, but the clown said this was going to be in his family and he'll never give it up. I can understand your frustrations
