Jayden is his father's son. I could see a young Will Smith delivering every single line almost the exact same way. The cockiness, the attitude, the way he tried to impress the girl... all so very Will Smith. Jackie was great.

I took my 5yr old nephew because I knew he'd love it. When I told him i was going to take him to see Karate Kid...he asked me "which one? 1, 2, or 3? LOL my brother has taught him well!!

Anyway, of course my nephew loveddd the movie. It actually surpassed my expectations. I thought it was going to be a horrible piece of crap. Although, I did think the beginning was dreadful. I don't know...i just didn't like the way they started off the movie but halfway through, it was getting pretty darn good. 7 out of 10

jayden is good...not great! but i do respect his discipline to learn all the moves himself and do all the stunts himself. well most of the stunts i think. For a kid his age to do that kind of work is pretty amazing.

I thought Jackie did a good job because I don't remember seeing him playing such an emotional role before.

What makes this movie great was that they didn't tinker with it too much....it's basically identical as the original.

Scenery in this movie was a total upgrade and really showed the beauty of
    China.

I took my family to the fist showing at 10:30am, and it had a decent crowd but when we got out, there were lines from our door and the theater next to us all the way out to the entrance.

I'm a big fan of the original and pretty happy on how well this movie is doing in the box office right now.

    Agree 100%

I saw this last night and I hate to admit that I was wrong. They did a great job of updating instead of a simple remake and it worked wonders. I was VERY much against this film from the get go and the previews just re-enforced my beliefs. After all the good reviews I just gave in and saw it, Jackie Chan was fantastic and Jaden played the role nicely. The NEW Kobra Kai was great and the cheesiness of the previews was explained perfectly.

Overall, 8 out of 10 for me and my g/f on this one...GREAT stuff.

One thing, the ending seemed more like Mortal Kombat then KK didn't it?

I enjoyed this movie too. I wanted more Jackie Chan action though. The fight scenes were way better than the original.

Would be an interesting career path for the kid, but he's young, has a quick wit, and so much potential (Unlike many, I thought his Letterman interview was AWESOME). Hope he doesn't get typecast as just an action star.

I saw this movie the other day in St. Kitts here in the Caribbean. The theatre was packed and people were jumping up and down by the end of the movie.

I liked the scenery of China the most though. Humour wasn't way over the top, but had some good lines. The fight scenes were sweet.

I would say 8/10. I knew from the trailers it would be decent, but walked out more impressed then expected.

yeah, its kind of crazy, especially since watching Fresh Prince in H.S. I saw it Friday, I thought about this post while watching and I totally agree.

anyway, really good movie, the fight scenes were great. all the kids were great, the one kid with the mohawk.

I also agree with the scenery, from the crowded city to the beautiful countryside.

Placing nostalgia aside, this new version is actually better than the original. Better scenery, fight scenes and updated technology. Well, let me clarify. They took a lot of stuff out of the original that made the storyline better, as if you aren't looking at it as an action film then the original is better. But if you are looking it as an action film, then this one is better.

Overall still not better than the original.. This remake can have ninjas on roller blades fighting ewoks in a cloud of awesomeness and still wouldn't be better than the original and you know why? Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita's chemistry!!!
