And in the right hands, we could be contenders.

Left with DD trying to argue that the Warriors try to win with size

    The Warriors starting lineup;

    Wiggins - 6'7"
    Looney - 6'9"
    Curry - 6'3"
    Thompson 6'6"
    Green 6'7"

That may not be traditional SIZE - but it is significantly bigger than ours

    KPJ 6'4"
    Green 6'4"
    Gordon 6'3"
    Wood 6'9"
    Tate 6'4"

We are not tall enough, and we don't have elite shooting like GS does. You can call the Warriors SMALL ball and if that is your measure than are we micro ball?

Size matters but let us not overlook the elephant in the room - they are more disciplined, experienced, in total just better and more talented.

Their organization is Top 5 in the league for years now.

Lacob is paying 170 million in taxes or in that range. Gotta look that up again.

And on top of that, I just saw news today that hey plan on giving Poole a contract extension of something like 4 years at 80 million. Imagine if we had an owner willing to do whatever it takes and pay just a little bit of tax while we still had Paul and Harden. But of course some people will argue all day and night trying to convince me that Tilman is a good owner and that the front office did everything they could to win.

Thought this was a topic about Josh Christopher though? We are literally 1 draft into a rebuild complaining about roster construction. We suddenly look plenty tall just by drafting a guy like Chet Holmgren and adding him to Sengun, Garuba, and Wood or a Wood replacement. Given, a Mobley and Herb Jones defensive combination would’ve been tantalizing and super fun to watch, that ship has left the dock. Every team whiffed on Jones including the team that drafted him. Now the Rockets have to put pieces around what they have and hope that Garuba can become a solid rotation player.

Lol, what does it this have to do with Josh Christopher?

But anyway since you're belaboring the point, lets point out what's wrong with it.

First off, without doing any math, I'm going to assert that the Warriors, if you go by player-minute allocation (and ergo throw out guys like weisman who don't ever play) are probably the smallest height per minute team in the NBA. Remember this is a team that this is a team that ideally fields 3 not very big guards, Andrew Wiggins, and a 6-7 center as their preferred closing lineup. FWIW curry has probably lost an inch due to aging and the move to using "real" shoeless heights.

Second, lol, who gives a damn? Discussing the size v. speed/spacing tradeoff is relevant for the Warriors or the 2020 Rockets, teams that aspired to playoff runs - but it's just insanely irrelevant for 2022 Rockets who are purposely built to lose on the cheap with young players regardless of their height. Trading Daniel Theis for Schroder absolutely makes the Rockets smaller - but, newsflash, the Rockets would have traded for Schroder if he were 6 inches tall or 60 feet tall! It was a pure salary dump. Literally nothing - absolutely nothing - about this iteration of the Rockets is optimized to win today, if anything it's the opposite!

Its a collection of future value assembled to make more future value. It's not that the Rockets aren't as tall as Golden State, it's because that they aren't remotely as good at basketball enough! So all of your dead letter arguments about too small micro ball whatever are just pointless.

That is fair, but I am looking for the future, and I guess right now it doesn't matter as there will be trades etc, but I would like us to start building with more than SGs.

If no Chet, how about this for some height infusion?

Both Klay and Draymond are 6'6 or shorter after NBA re-measurement.

    Klay Thompson - 6'5
    Draymond Green - 6'6

But I agree with your premise.

Rockets need to get longer and add more 2 way players.

    Josh is fun AF.

He plays 100 mph every second he's on court.

    No fear.

But he's closer to 6'2 than he is to 6'4.

Conversely, Josh is the only one of the four players here with actual official NBA combine measurements. He was measured 6’3.25 barefoot, 6’4.5 in shoes and has a 6’9.25 wingspan.

Does that mean Green and Tate are closer to 6'5?

Crazy that both Tate (6'8 wingspan) and Green (6'7 wingspan) are not nearly as long as Jaygup.

At least Scoot has a 6'10 wingspan.

The Josh Christopher Experience has been postponed pending better coaching decisions, better front office decisions in regards to roster construction, and ultimately minute distribution.

I feel for him. He was just starting to hit his stride too. Young fella has been terrible since the Schroder trade. We neutered a young guy starting to put it together and for what exactly? He’s played 12, 26, 11, and 10 minutes in those games. Guess which game was the only one he played well. Coincidence?

    Free Jaygup!

Ain't nothing more spectacular than seeing a young player's pep and confidence destroyed by their own head coach.

Maybe one of the only things more spectacular.... is seeing it happen more than once.

Really sucks that they are keeping Schroeder. I want to see more KPJ/Green/Jaygup. Really want to see more Christopher and Green in the backcourt with Sengun at C.
