    Word.

Eric Anthony. Jon Singleton. Seems like we've maybe been here before!

    37 K's in 105 AB is a concern.

Do you see what Niekro is doing with his arm?

    Good luck trying that, kids.

Jason Lane had a real bonified MLB career and was a piece in a really good team. Any guy that’s not a top prospect should probably consider that kind of career a win.

He had 2 WAR in his career but he did stick around for awhile. He had a couple of solid years with a good number of at bats. I would take the 2004-2005 production but otherwise I am hoping for more.

I would be more than pleased to have 2005 Jason Lane on this squad.

I think the homer numbers maybe are a little low. I also expect about 250 strikeouts.

Did we really produce Diaz. He was kind of known as a hitter when Click traded for him. Granted Cleveland thought highly enough of him to have him as a throw in for Straw.

I would say so - he was only in “A” when the Astros got him.

I hope so. Chas is proof of our development. We just need someone to replace the black hole in our lineup. Abreu must be the most disappointing free agent signing in recent history.

I also don't know what to do with Bregman. He's not even getting the walks this year. He's been pretty much worthless so far made worse by where he keeps getting placed in the batting order. Can we just put him 7 or 8 at the beginning of every season and start moving him up as he figures it out.

Anthony Rendon’s deal is WAY worse than Abreu’s. Not only is he stealing 4 times as much money, he’s acted like an ******* the whole time.

What nobody here has talked about regarding Joey is his head. I'm no insider, but I have read tons about him being a smart guy and Baseball America ranked him as #1 Astros prospect in baseball IQ

Now, clearly he doesn't have Bagwell's hit tool but we have all seen how a top baseball IQ can impact a game, and how enjoyable it is to watch that play out on a field.

He also is a solid versatile defender who has some speed and brings baserunning value.

I fully expect a low BA (hopefully offset by some BB) and very high Ks. But I am looking forward to watching him play and expect lots of positives in other areas of the game.

I'm going to keep my expectations low....I just need him to hit for the cycle in his first game, not asking much.

The next Bryce Harper starts his MLB journey today. What a time to be alive.

Not expecting much. Feels like we're grasping for straws here, but hoping for the best.

I had never seen a MLB player try to hit himself in the back with his swing until I saw Jason Lane.

But he tossed us a baseball as respect for the heckling (Pirates...Chris Johnson?), so he's alright in my book.
