I haven't seen the show yet but will check it out tomorrow. THis character sounds pretty damn funny: http://www.spiketv.com/shows/joe_schmo/*******.jhtml
Of course, if you go in thinking it's a real reality show, I don't know that the thought of everyone else being an actor would necessarily cross your mind even if the way they were acting seem unauthentic. I think my thought would be that the others were just playing to the cameras. If you know it's a put-on, it seems obvious, but if you think it's real, I don't think it would seem anywhere near as obvious. And, I guess Joe Schmo doesn't watch "Six Feet Under", eh? (Not that I would've necessarily recognized the Six Feet Under guy, either, with the dyed hair and the VanDyke).
I damn near died laughing when they showed the marine's jacked up feet. Hutch was laughing his ass off as he had to oil those monsters. It was gross and hysterical at the same time. That and when Kip did his over the top acting after Hutch played the Polaroid pic gag on him. "I nee zshum professional help for thees". Kinda sad when they showed next week's preview though. Everybody's crying. Hmmm... what if Matt's an actor, too? The ending should be interesting...
I believe this guy Matt is the real deal. I don't think he's an actor, or if he is, he's not in on the gag. I think the key is that they give him the 100 grand at the end. this show is so funny
Yeah I am curious about next weeks show, as well. And I also keep getting the he's an actor and he is playing them all too.
OK I had a rescheduled Football game and I missed tonite's episode. What Happened? I caught the last 2-3 minutes wher he was freaking out but have no clue what happened to cause it.
The old marine guy was "voted" out, and that, for some reason, upset Matt very deeply. I didn't get why he was so upset. The show didn't do a very good job of setting up the relationship forged between Matt and the Marine guy, apparently.
well I figured he would be soon to go, not because he screwed up in the first episode but because they didn't seem to show him forge relationships with anyone. They were always talking about some of the others and setting up friction or friendship between them but Earl got no love so that is kind of shocking that he and Matt had a relationship.
By watching the second episode, I thought that y'all nailed it on the head in the first episode. No man cries that hysterically (albeit convincingly), if they are on a "Survivor" type show. The guy's an actor, and a good one at that. We'll see how it pans out.
does anyone else think this guy Matt is a total and complete loser/idiot. Listen to the way this guy talks. He sounds like a complete moron. My 12 year old cousin sounds more articulate than this guy.
by the way he was pissing me off when he was talking sh#T to Huch trying to defend his girlfriend Kip
The Ashleigh character says that we won't get to see some of the real and personal relationships be developed because it's too personal. This might have been something the producers decided in order to help curb the personal nature of making fun of this guy. The poor guy is marked for life. I believe they are giving him some privacy. Either way, I love the show. Even if he is an awesome actor or something. I love it, I love every minute of it. I love this sensitive big brother type that he is. He's hilarious and (probably) doesn't know it.
This show just keeps getting better, but if they continue are they going to change the name from "Lap of Luxury" and get a new host?
They've been re-running the episodes right after the episode airs. In other words, back-to-back. They've also been re-running it all week. What was real wierd was when all the others were crying, too, and they said they were really crying and not acting.
I thought she was talking about between Kip and Earl, not Matt. I may have to watch the ending again.
