Thank you JJ for everything you have done to this team. Sorry to see you leaving. Wish you best luck!
I enjoyed having JJ in a Rockets uniform. He always seemed to play hard and play smart. I wish him success, and hopefully he can play with a contender really soon. Boki could have turned into a good player with the Rockets. It is hard seeing another first round lottery pick leave the Rockets, but Boki didn't seem to have what it took to get the minutes. By far, the loss of JJ will have the most negative impact on this team. I hated seeing Mobley go, but thought we were okay since JJ was still around. Now the Rockets have lost more height, athleticism, and hustle.
JJ, you were one of my favorite Rocket's players. I liked your style, your smarts, your consistency, your hustle, and your killer three point shot. I am really angry about this trade.
Here's to you JJ I loved everything you brought night in and night out and can hardly remember any times I was dissapointed in your efforts for any single game. I thought you had finally found a home here in Houston after the numerous journeys you have made, but it didn't turn out so. Anyway, you were freaking awesome1 And since we are appreciating JJ who has left us, I also thought I should appreciate Boki... Here's to you Boki Thank you for making Karl Malone your b*tch in the playoffs last year. I will ALWAYS remember that.
Thanks for the memories JJ .. I truly think you helped out the Rockets in the long run and Yao and T-Mac will be better off for it. JJ was the leader of this team, and I honestly feel this was an attempt to force T-Mac and Yao into that leadership role. The leadership HAD to be in their hands, and right now it was JJs role because neither of them stepped up. Here's hoping that one or both of them are ready to take over that responsibility. This definitely isn't anything JJ did wrong, but I feel it was something that needed to be done. JJ is a true professional and a great role player. I wish him well and hope he and Boki can turn that Hornets season around.
before that i always hope jj will retire in houston,i think houston is his last station of nba. but now, he has gone, i will miss him so much.
It seems like the hornets were the ONLY team JJ hadn't played on in the NBA yet.. It is sad that such a talented, professional guy has never been able to find a real home in the NBA. Here's to you Jim.. New Orleans got a good one!
Are they really?? I am sure they get most of their ROX news from here then toss that over the air.. You guys SUCK!! Now I know why their opinions sound like so many of our posts... Oh yeah, thanks for bring the heat when JVG gets on the air.. you guys rollover like a girl on prom night when it comes to the hard questions..
yea matt was laughing at the thread saying what has jj really done.. and thats when he said JJ's are a dime a dozen... then he went on a rant about how JJ was trying to get the team to be against the media
JJ....... thanks for being solid, espically last year, when all was eratic. thanks for being the guy in the Chron to always be quoted, and you sound intellegent.......can't say that about most NBAers. thanks for being willing to be the "next best option" and it never seemed to me that you were looking out for yourself..... I know you just wanted one place to end your carrerr in, and I'm sorry it could not be Houston. The team did what they felt was best, I hope, if your upset, that you hate management, not us the fans, who really loved the way you played, the character you showed on and off the court.
I also appreciate JJ's effort. I feel JJ's underpaid for what he's brought to the team. For what he did last year, actually I think he has earnt his contract already even he becomes rockets bench player from now on. He is a journeryman who thinks he finds a home in Houston. I really feel bad for him. I think he deserve a lot better from the team. Good luck, JJ.
yeah that's one thing that is kind of sad. The fact that he really felt like this was his last stop becasue of the system and how he had preformed. BUt i guess because of the fact he performed well and showed what he can do he was our only asset to trade.
JJ was the glue to our team. He guided us to the playoffs last year. Despite all his weaknesses he was the 3rd best player this year as well. I will miss him. I wished he would retire as a Rocket but I will always want him to have good luck.
Agree. Good luck in Nawlins JJ. Atleast he was one of the few Rocket's players this season that gave it 100% every game and played with passion and intensity.
Not much to add that anyone else hasn't already said... I was so happy to have JJ last season, he really seemed like a difference maker in our season, would we have made the playoffs without him? Ah, you'll be missed, Man. <3 !!!!1!1
Thanks JJ ... Consistent play, hardwork and clutch shots.. You were my kid's favorite player and we will miss you Good luck in NO or wherever you end up
Come on, guys. This is getting ridiculous. Perhaps in the myopia of a Rockets fan board, we get a bit blind. But lamenting the loss of Jim freaking Jackson just tells you the state of this once proud franchise. The guy is a role player...he's very average. That's it. There are other Jim Jacksons. You may not like the trade...frankly, I'm not moved one way or the other about it. But that's a separate thing from mourning it as if we're losing some savior in JJ. Seems silly to me. And if you're turning in your Rocket fan club card because they traded Jim Jackson...then frankly, you weren't much of a fan at all...and you won't be missed, either.
Sorry JJ, I was hoping you had found a place to retire. I will really miss your presence on the team. Boki, I hope you are given more of a chance to play in NO. If you turn in to Peja lite, .
