That one late-game midrange shot where he just slammed the brakes and created a wide open look for himself was really cool to watch. It’s the kind of separation you can only make when you’re sooo much more athletic than everyone else. Wish he hit the shot, but the building blocks are there for him to be a efficient, dangerous scorer long-term.
Love how he gets 20 points on great efficiency and without being a ball dominant black hole. The game will continue to slow down for him, he’ll add muscle and gain experience and eventually he will get those 50/50 calls on his drives too. I’d like to see him run the offense out of the pnr a bit more. Right now the offense is just erratic and I feel like Green just takes his points in the ebb and flow rather than really controlling the game at certain junctures.
Honestly, holding the BOO BOO brothers out and working with them on the side, seems to have helped them a bunch. DD
Green is doing pretty impressive things for a young kat at 19? Wow he will be really good star just like they say. Another Allan Houston type player for sure. Here hoping he will be the next Paul George who can take over games. He wont be a alpha like kobe or lebron, but he will be dang good.
So this is what some of the work with John Lucas we’ve been hearing about looks like. Focus here appears to be on speeding up that release. He’ll continue to get more consistent with this the more he practices it.
One of the common criticisms I see of him is that he's "just" an athlete - clearly not true - but his athleticism is far from the norm, the way he moves is not the sort of athleticism you see every day, even from athletic players. Once he has a man's body, if he develops his shooting he'll be an absolute nightmare for opponents, like Beal with Westbrook's athleticism. If he does that he doesn't even need to be elite on d to be an all-star, just competent; and he's already showing marked improvement from the beginning of the season on that front.
Green looking really good since returning. I really wish we could move KPJ to the bench with Gordon starting at the point. KPJ would develop best as a 6th man too, he needs to learn to be decisive and strategic leading a team. Sengun Wood Tate Green Gordon KPJ Brooks JC KJ
Porter Jr. equally had a good game against the Lakers. Trades should already be filed to open up minutes. In bound pass - Eric Gordon had one of the worst passes into the stands.
Yes he did have a good game but he's still figuring out PG duties, best to do it with the bench. Gordon creates space and stability for Green without requiring the ball to be dangerous, it's a good fit. Even post trade I hope it's JC to start. KPJ needs the green light to be more agressive and decisive.
this is what most of us "green nut-huggers" were excited about when drafting him. his ability to play within the flow of the game and get his buckets without having to chuck like a lot volume scorers who put up gaudy numbers do.
It reminds me a bit of Klay Thompson. Capable of going super nova, but generally plays in the flow vs. defining the flow. The good thing about that is it means he’s capable of playing with just about anyone — hopefully our upcoming draft pick. It’s also why I want to see a lot more of Green and Sengun together.
his jumper looks much better than before he got injured. Maybe he was rushing it a bit when he first started
It’s a big joke that we treat our 2nd pick player like 2nd round players. When the last time Rockets get the top 2 pick player? But we treat him like trash player. Smh.
