This thread has taken a weird turn, but may I just say that I, in fact, am the most sensational Asian on Clutchfans? ...no?
Dude STFU broke boy! You annoying AF, go back in cleaning my toilets you broke ass BUM always in here providing no value. Damn clown
He is the "dude". His teammates AND coaching staff need to realize that and feed him the ball. When something's frozen there is no flow. They seemed to make an effort for Bruno (thankfully) tonight. That should be the case with Green every game. If guys want to toss it to non shooters for last second shots instead of him the obvious conclusion is what.....?
You say that now...but when an army of small cleaning robots take over the world with their little grabby hands and limited battery lives, you'll be sorry. Repent before it is too late
I feel like either we really have incompetent staff to make an adjustments or our rookies werent tought other type of ball than 1v1. Green came out where he left off with lakers, same with Kpj. What did Kidd do? He said alright im taking out the middle with zone so no more drives and open midrange jumpers. What did rockets/JG do? Try 1v1 in search of drives or midrange jumpers. Whole weakside corner was open everytime i dont think i saw one pass to those spots. With that defense we should init offense with KPJ and Gordon on top and Sengun at the FT line put JG and Kj in the corners. Make middle zone man come out to the middle and attack from the corner every ****ing time. It would always be open.. and then either take the first shot or punish late rotation
We have never really been able to navigate a good zone defense all year. The Rooks are just not experienced enough and doesn't have the reps in. Also Silas aren't good with adjustments. We got so shook for Raptors full court pressing us that we just gave up lol
He’s been doing that a lot. He’s not even trying to pass. Ignoring Green and Sengun just so he can iso into his own shot.
Green's been "pretty good" statistically since the start of February .... and better still the last couple weeks. I wonder if a lot of his struggles early on stemmed from the Rockets 3's & layups system .... he'd come off a pick and stop his progress, looping back beyond a trailing defender to a step back 3 (this really drove me nuts).... or forcing his way to the rim. In the past couple weeks he's taken those mid range shots rather than forcing the drive to the rim or looking lost on the way to that damn step back 3. It's almost too much to ask of a young player to be conscious of the 3 point line so much that they are passing up open shots closer to the rim. Getting an open, high percentage shot is the goal of just about every possession .... and you ask that guy not to take that open shot after he's beat the defense ?
The team has asked him to be a ball dominate distributor from the get go - Harden's replacement. That's a monumental request .... There's never really been a 2 guard like Harden and the Rockets tried to manufacture one out of a kid who has the physical traits but is erratic in decision making .... Have to give them some credit for the attempt and the nothing they had invested in the player. If it had worked out it would have been one of the biggest steals in NBA history .... as it stands, the Rockets still got the better end of that deal as I think KPJ is a pretty solid 6th man eventually.
I think it’s more about Silas has said he wants fast tempo and early shots. (I recall him using the phrase creating chaos.) That’s why Wood and Tate also attack early in transition. We’ve certainly achieved the NBA’s fastest pace, fwiw, but that means KPj shooting/driving early without much playmaking.
