    Cuban is a punk.

But Dirk is a good guy. when he hugged Donnie after game 6, I felt bad.

Should they play the starters against the likely playoff opponent? Perhaps Dallas would have still lost that game playing all the starters and then realized that this was not an easy matchup for them. So they decide to make changes. Say for example, bench Dampier to be a little quicker. Oh, wait, that is what happened.

Donnie did find Dirk but he is still with the Mav's. Donnie did not go to GS with his Dad (Don) to GS.

bottom line is...I don't think it would've mattered if Dallas played their starters for that late season game...GS prolly would've won it either way.

Umm.. what makes you think GS would lose in the regular season vs a full Mavs team when they beat them in the playoffs?

it wasn't so much that last game though. avery started resting players weeks before. there's that danger of player falling out of playing form when that's done.

though with all the pre-season injuries they had (that also contributed to their losing streak at the beginning at the season) i can see why they were overly-cautious.

They mentioned something like this during the telecast; something to the point that the race for that 8th spot was very tight, and the Warriors might have lost it with a loss or two more. I think one of them said the Clippers almost were there. Don't know if they were right or not, numbers wise, but I remember them talking about it.

I agree with most here that it probably wouldn't have mattered, considering how completely the Warriors owned the Mavs. But still...

Its gotta sting a little to know you didn't even try.
