Me too. Aside from an occasional weeknight Astro game, I stay away from drinking during the week. It's not easy this time of year, considering that most of my friends are band directors and my girlfriend is a teacher and they are always trying to get me to go out. But they don't have to be at work the next day like me. Now, tonight will be a different story. I'll be at Sullivans. I hear there's a pretty good band playing....
I'm 35 and I'm only good for Fri nights these days. I get way too tired if I do Fri and Sat and I get absolutely nothing done over the weekend. If I just drink on Fri I can at least get some stuff done on Sunday.
I'm not hung over today but I will be tomorrow. I usually am on a friday but my son has been sick with a high fever so I couldn't tie one on incase I had to react. As it turns out I had to make a 3 am trip to walmart to buy more childrens tylenol.
Watching an 80s cover band near downtown. Actually I'm hurting more because of a lack of sleep than the booze. The "after party" with my lady took priority over sleep.
Nice to hear I'm not the only one. I remember when I got my first job after College, me and my buds would start partying Wed thur Sat nite But as time passed on it's slowly receded to Friday and Sat and sometime just Friday or Sat. The mind is will but the body is a terrible landlord that makes me pay the penalties....
i knocked back juice boxes with my 6 year old watching huff go yard and playing EA Sports Baseball. he kicks my butt in the HR competition!
I don't know how the freaking Astros slipped my mind. For some reason I kept thinking that yesterday was Wednesday. I was so pissed when I finally realized I missed the game. Oh well, I'm watching tonight for sure. We are hooked on World Cup soccer still on the Xbox. I actually haven't played a whole lot of baseball in a while which is surprising.
I had a night like that on the 4th. I partied with my friends all day, knowing I had to go to work. I got home around 11:30 and my 'friend' called me around 12:15 wanting to come over for our own 4th celebration. I didn't go to sleep until 5. I didn't want to even try to go to work the next day. I told my boss I was "working from home". Turns out he was "working from home" as well. It was all worth it.
Whoa, how long has this been going on, ima? Is it serious? Sorry for being nosey, but I always considered you along with DoD as someone who had little interest in having a serious girlfriend. That was probably an erroneous assumption on my part, though.
