    I don't get to watch a whole lot of games so I don't know. Do other people agree with this?
    Is Yao just not figuring out where and how his teammates want the ball? Is that even his job to? Is it up to the other players to step up and make shots when they're open regardless of whether it's they're "preferred" spot?

    These wide open shots that Howard and Sura are getting are shots that they can get any time they want WITHOUT Yao.

    Juwan Howard can easily get a wide open 20 foot jumper without Yao. Sura can get a wide open 3 pointer without Yao. All they have to do is stand out on the perimeter with the ball and their defender will take 3 steps back and invite them to take the perimeter shot. They don’t need Yao to get them those shots.

    The next time Yao leaves the game, just watch how many wide open perimeter shots the Rockets players are able to get. It’ll be about just as many as when he’s on the floor.
