The extreme homerism then pessimism make the GARM unbearable 99% of the time.

Dude how short of a memory do you have? the Clippers have owned Harden for years, he had some of his worst games against those guys.

We have a bad habit of being unclutch and choking in the moments that really count (playoffs or near playoff time)

Basically harden has to go Jordan mode and score 50 with the bench chipping in

Unfortunately the fans don't control anything. Even if he manned up it will not prevent or cause anything either way

OK...now let's continue on that thought process.

So, we swept Portland last year in the regular season then lost in the 1st round to them in 6 games. You might say that we got our "asses handed to us" by a team a lot worse than us based on that tiny bit of info. That's not the case. We all know that's not the case, so I don't need to restate the reasons we lost that series.

You might say, going a little further with your thought process, that regular season record doesn't have much weight on playoff expectations. Of course, your regular season record is a pretty good indication of what you might be able to bring to the playoffs, but anything can happen.

Of course the injury factor isn't looking good for us. We knew even before Bev went down that we needed a PG. Maybe Terry gets some fire back just being in the playoffs. DMo being out for the season means that TJones and JSmoove are gonna have to step up even more. Who knows?

Maybe a key guy on another team goes down. Maybe Harden and Howard are going insane and carrying the team like we all know they can. All things considered, we are fairly evenly matched with most of our possible 1st round matchups. We could beat a really good team that we aren't expected to beat. Crazier things have happened.

Coaching (adjustments), FTs and defense. If 2 out of 3 magically show up, we have a chance.

With DMo (and Bev) out it's going to be difficult. I still like our chances against Dallas but securing the 2nd seed isn't going to be easy.

This year with the way the west is any single team can lose in the first round even including the Warriors imo.
But I have faith in Harden.

I posted this in a thread back in February and I got so many reps with negative comments and angry comments telling me "I'm not a real fan" here in the GARM. This is so true though especially with DMo now out. I'm not going into the playoffs with my hopes up at all. I can't let my heart go through another "Lillard" moment.

Well not many teams would missing 2 starters for the rest of the season. I still think the Rockets are talented enough to where they have a shot at getting out of the first so long as they get the right matchup, but yeah, I don't think we have a chance of winning it all anymore.

It's crazy that players like Joey Dorsey never get injured... has to be DMo. I get really disgusted when Dorsey gets put in the game. To me I feel like Mchale is saying F the fans and Houston when he puts Dorsey in the game.

Understanding that the Rockets having a flawed roster and are susceptible like alot of teams to a first round exit is different than creating a b****y whiny woe is the Rockets, fire Milk Hair, Fire Moorey thread that often gets created.

Look the Rockets have flaws. Major ones.

But as Phil Jackson said right after winning the title in 2010. "We understand we have flaws on our team, and my job is to do my best to hide those flaw, and highlight the strengths".

The Rockets actually have some major strengths. McHale isn't going to outcoach anyone from an X's and O's standpoint, but his staff is smart enough to know what their team is good at and what they are not good at. We will see here in a couple weeks if their weaknesses are exposed, and it ends up costing them.

But there is no reason to sit around and b**** and whine like FTW Rockets FTW does non-stop. Nothing terrible horrific has happened yet. Your pride should not be shot because your team has flaws. Teams with flaws have gone deep in the playoffs all the time.

So stop crying yourself to sleep at night CF. Put down the razor blades, and turn off the Cure for a bit. RELAX.

I just don't like how the Rockets know Joey Dorsey is undersized, unskilled & just terrible but have not even tried to address this before the playoffs. McGee is available but apparently we're comfortable with our 6'7 center losing leads for us. I see the train wreck coming when the Rockets lose in the 1st round again

Start Brewer and have Harden play the point, dammit.

    I have a crazy idea.
Why don't we wait until the playoffs start before saying the Rockets are doomed.
