    It was just a swing and a miss. You can't hit 'em all out of the park. At least we get cap space.

    I think this the type of strategy DM is doing with the "lottery rejects". I like it a lot:

    1) Outcome A: They pan out and you keep them
    2) Option B: They don't pan out but you trade them for other assets
    3) Option C: They don't pan out, you can't trade them for anything good so you renounce them.

    Normally renouncing rookie scale contracts don't really matter much capwise, but we're talking about 4 top 10 lottery contracts here. That's be more than 10M wiped off the books just like that, which could then be spent on high impact FAs. Awesome strategy IMHO *insert DM pic here*.

    Can you believe all the 2009 draftees on this team?:
    • Hasheem Thabeet @ 2
    • J. Flynn @ 6
    • J. Hill @ 8
    • T.Williams @ 11
    • Chase Bud. @ 44
    On paper this looks like a great starting 5 however reality each one has struggled to make the rotation. Out of the 5, Chase is having the strongest career.If he had some D he could be a starter. During Media day I hope they take a picture of just the 2009 crew and use it with the slogan - " Back in time 2009, make it happen 2011 ".

    I believe someone said that their contacts end after this year and the next year is a club option, which means we don't pick up their option and go big in the '12 free agency and try to pick up Dwight howard
