Or maybe as Colin has repeatedly explained, he sees Hardens willingness to share the ball this season and be a team player instead of a one man wrecking crew like Westbrook which to be fair Harden has been in the past warrants credit.
I think if Harden played the season like he played game 1... he'd have won MVP.... He looks far more impressive when he drives than when launching 3s... The guy has crazy skills and imo they look most impressive when he drives through contact and finishes at the rim.... jus sayin...
I don't think it has to be that way. That was years ago. How many people here thought Harden would be in MVP discussions? I know of one guy that thought Harden was a Jordan level player, I thought that guy was a huge homer then, and while that guy was wrong he was certainly closer to what many thought of Harden when he came here. That he'd be an all-star player and not necessarily a superstar/elite player. At least Cowherd has the ability to change his opinion on players given new evidence, unlike say Skip who has been Lebron hating and Tebow loving since forever. A lot of the Harden hate comes from people not changing their opinions of him, that he's a 0 defense playing foul seeking ball hog. Meanwhile the narrative for Westbrook has always been that he's selfish but that he plays with such 'passion'...which I never understood. How does one quantify that? Just because Westbrook does a nasty dunk then thumps his chest and gives a mean look it is described as passion. He doesn't play with anymore passion than these other elite players, he just has more showmanship to him.
He takes what the defense him. They guarded us on the perimeter which opened up the paint. If they pack the paint then he will launch 3s Naturalistics lol
