Harden has changed his game though. He's such a great play maker for others and just makes better decisions now. Hared was going the Melo route before this season.

Yeah after Cowherd tried to make some weird psychoanalysis of John Wall by pointing out his "lack of a father figure", I don't listen to that idiot anymore.

Jesus - which is it? Do people want to play with Harden or not? Every year the narrative is completely different. For Christ sake...

...exactly what's happening and is what I expected to happen. Harden will not get the same media courtesy if we go down hard in another series.

Cowherd's analogy is valid, but I would state that during the 80's when both were playing, there was no huge discussion about who was the better player Dr. J or Larry Bird. Everyone knew and admitted it was Bird.

There WAS a lot of discussion about who was better...Magic or Bird. But that was all about Lakers vs. Celtics back when teams mattered more than individuals.

As far as all the pundits trying to cover for their Westbrook slobbering after that Sunday night beatdown....where was all the sympathy for Harden in 2015 when it was obvious Curry had the better team?

The BSPN machine is so broken and biased I can't take anything any of them say serious anymore. I've stopped watching those stations all together unless an actual game is on.

ESPN has produced an entire generation of sports fans that only care about basketball in a very loose sense. Nobody is interested in the product anymore. All people care about is making sure they saw the 30 second highlight reel, the box score, and any flashy dunks or post-shot celebrations. Digging deeper, and wanting to understand the beauty behind the game has completely left our sports culture. Westbrook is a product of that mindset. The Triple Doubles are impressive on the surface.....until you dig deeper. Durant is considered a coward for leaving Westbrook in the lurch.....until you dig deeper. The Thunder are considered media darlings, and all they want to see is their Triple Double King get annointed.....until you dig deeper.

Here's the thing though: James Harden is here, and he's brought a mother****in' shovel.

I enjoyed this take about FTs in the NBA. He makes a lot of good points.

Larry was an absolute assassin in "sheep's" clothing. Tall, lanky, looks unathletic and an unmatched baller on the court. Legend.

I would have liked to see Chuck Hayes vs Larry Bird. Obviously the winner of the matchup would be Larry, but it would be fun to watch Chuck try all 3,422 of his tricks on defense to stop Larry's 5,678 tricks on offense.

Also, OTMax is probably not a LOF. Otis Thorpe mad Max refs don't spell LOF. Never chase off a Rockets fan. Just try to figure out what they mean.

That sounds like something a LOF would say...

You guys are so funny. Cowherd thinks Lebron James is the MVP and has been every year. He's also said harden isn't a superstar in the past.

This has way more to do with his hate of Westbrook than his "love of harden".

Thank you! People get so excited after one hot take and obviously don't know much about the person speaking and his history
