I bet we would of lost by more, who was tmac gonna guard granger, dunleavy. Your dreaming if you think he could keep up with either of those guys, you say you would prefer tmac over no tmac well so would I but I want him to only play like 25 minutes, he is to slow and cant guard anyone, he cant go to the basket and at the end of games he has no legs which means no jumper anymore, so therefore he is useless out there on the court. So im ok with tmac being back but you gotta face facts he isnt the same man he was two years ago, heck he isnt the same man he was a year ago.
Me too, it is just observational, but to me I think he is just playing scared. It could very well be that he is done as an athlete, but at 29, I really doubt it. DD
Did you read that article on here where the guy said that tmac looked like the old guy at the park, who you look at and think man he used to be good but he has no legs now and just cant do what he used to do. I thought that described tmac perfectly you know he used to be good but he just looks old now
Exactly. His all-star capability kaput, and he's a goner.Unless he could get his legs back, the strength on his knees are long gone,it just disappeared since he got 'em injured or banged. That's a shame he just being a role player wanna do what he used to do,he was capable of. He's not just looking old,I suppose he's gonna be a retiree soon if it's gonna last forever for him to be in this condition,he's REALLY done with his career,at least as a star caliber player.
Yes, but sometimes that is conditioning.....and Tmac has looked great in some games, which tells me he is still not completely in shape. DD
yea but the guy had what 5 or so months to recover from surgery and add 20 or so games this year to that he should be fine and in shape with that much time on his hands
He is not in game shape though, where he runs all the time...and he is not exactly running......I would try to get the team to get up and down more...especially while Yao is out. Get it to Rafer and get to running. DD
yea but the guy had what 5 or so months to recover from surgery and add 20 or so games this year to that he should be fine and in shape with that much time on his hands, but at least if your right that will mean we might see the tmac of old soon, but me personally I doubt that will ever happen again
I love him but his indifferent demeanor on the court sometimes can rub people, and fans, the wrong way I can imagine.
michael jordan is the greatest player we've ever seen but not because of his considerable athletic gifts. mj was a mental giant with ice cold water running in his veins, he was a killer. when he lost most of his athletic advantage he found other ways to dominate. tmac has no such will. tracy's body language says that he's not in the mood to reinvent himself. he's done. he's ready to wrap himself up in his own vagina and cuddle.
BTW, to the OP. The HATE you are sensing about Tmac is not on this board, it is pretty much the majority of Rocket fans tired of his act. Once a player has played out, and is no longer making my favorite team better, he has to go....and that includes ANYONE. Even Dream had to go......Tmac is fast approaching ....the "Must go" status. DD
I'd add that all those whipped up in a frenzy about the "haters" take a second and wonder why this hate wasn't readily evident last year, or any other year we've had McGrady. Why so many guys that this October would have said this is McGrady's team first...now have joined the criticism wagon. Why many of the posters that got hot with posters like me and DD back in Nov are now saying the same things? I'll also add - almost to a man, everyone upset with Tracy's last few months would embrace him again if he started playing the right way again. I loved Steve to death back in the day - but he ruined things for himself and brought upon himself the criticism toward the end of his tenure with us. Tracy, this season, is doing all of the things that Francis did to draw ire and a whole lot more. I want McGrady to do well here and play to the best of his abilities. Right now, he's dogging the team concept and hurting the team. Evan
The "Must Go" status is in the rear-view mirror for me. For the defenders of TMac, I ask you to rewatch the game and watch TMac on DEFENSE. He is not playing any. He makes a stab here and there but overall, he's just isn't putting out. Don't watch the ball, watch TMac. Then, you'll understand our frustration.
Can we ship you to Chi-town? Your man love for Hinrich shows in every thread. We're going to take on a horrible contract for an avg pg. His carrer FG% is a whole 3% higher and 3PT% is 2% higher than Alstons. Then put his contract into consideration, Alston > Hinrich imo.
FRO, What were Bibby's stats before he got to Sacremento? Hinrich would play a lot better on a team with Tmac and Yao drawing all that attention. Same as Steve Blake is doing now in Portland......sometimes it is about how a particular player FITS on a team, and how their skill set works with that team as well. That is why I like him...personally, I would rather have Bibby, but he is not realistic....only Hinrich seems attainable. I don't love the guy, I just think he makes the team better. DD
