I completely agree that some are just McGrady worshipers, but given that point they are not going to change there mind about there beloved God.

But it wasn't just McGrady. Artest played horrible also. I can't for the life of me figure out why when he's posting up he turns to face up his defender and try to drive by him. Why not just back him down???

You have 18k+ posts and I know they weren't always like this. We just need less hate threads. The GARM has become very unbearable lately.

I curse the day I bought his orlando jersey.

However, from a fashion standpoint, the jersey is actually pretty nice.

The problem with T-mac is he refuses to do the small things that this team needs him to do consistently. He was just flat out lazy on the rebounds last night. He didn't box out like he should, he just put his hand on Jefferies stomach instead of boxing him out. Without Yao last night who is our only true Center that plays he really needs to box out. He doesn't get back on defense. It is the effort part that fans are frustrated about. Sure he will miss jumpers but he has to be more aggressive on offense and defense. His personality is laidback and it is like that on the court which can be a huge problem.

You were a fan of Tmac when he was in Orlando? I don't have any Tmac products but I do have a Penny Hardaway Orlando jersey.

I can understand that. My problem is with some people that actually enjoy seeing McGrady play bad, just so they can say they were right. Your a Rockets fan first..you should pull for the team, not a personal ego.

I don't want to see the guy play at all. He's just a headache. If the Rockets had moved him over the summer for Rip and somebody else they wouldn't be going through this soap opera crap.

I won my fantasy b-ball league thanks to him.
plus the jersey was nice and it was on sale.

I'm a Rockets fan, but during the pajama days of Steve/Cuttino, those jerseys were so ugly I wouldn't buy them.

If I buy another jersey, it would be a nba classic Hakeem Jersey.

That personal ego is hurting the team though. I have been all for McGrady until this year. His play and off court antics have hurt this team on and off the court. As a Rockets fan, I, just as everyone else, should be more concerned about whats best for the team, and we're here to criticize that. T-Mac so far hasn't been it. Wafer has clearly outplayed Tracy and deserves his minutes until Tracy proves otherwise. With that being said, I don't know how you dismissed me as not pulling for the team, thats all I am doing.

I'm sorry if the "you" was confusing. It was meant as a general statement, not directed at you personally. I understand what your saying and I agree. I'm in no way defending his play right now. However, I get a bit upset with people that actually enjoy being right when they said he was going to hurt the team, and actually enjoy him playing bad so they can prove their point. That bothers me. I know your not doing that now. I'm sure you'd rather Tracy play good, than play horrible. There's some on this board that I question which they would rather want.

McGrady's hurting the team, plain and simple. If you're pulling for the team you either want him gone or you're hoping for a miracle where he decides he's going to play team ball.

Don't you guys know the more yall hate on McGrady the harder it will be to say things about him once he gets it together and starts killing again. I could imagine how yall faces will look. Sure kick a man when he is down but when he gets up and starts fighting then what will yall say when he starts averaging 22ppg/6 assist/ 5 reb. per game. I can't wait to read things about him once he is 100%

IF he gets back up, I would be happy to be proven wrong. But so far he has done nothing but hurt the team this season. Plus its not just about the stats, its playing defense, being a leader, and doing the little things superstars get paid to do that T-Mac doesn't

I highly doubt its him hurting the team. McGrady is not a motion type of guy. YAO MING is not a motion type of guy. The system is hurting the team. Rafer Alston is not even running the plays. Yao and Scola have the same game. This is the JVG team. This is RA 2nd year as coach. I would have expected him to have his guys that he wants to run the offense. This is the same team same guys. SAME JVG running through their minds. RA is not the answer.

I personally would LOVE it if TMac played well, plays well and continues to play well; however, I don't see it actually happening on a consistent basis. I'd love to see the Rockets win it all. I'd love to see TMac dominating once again. I'd love to see Yao rewarded for all his hard work. But I just don't see this team going anywhere with TMac (especially given all his flaws which are far outweighing his supposed talent).

Although I am disappointed with performance of Tmac and Artest, I am willing to give them a few more games to make the judgment.

Hopefully Aldeman will have chance to convince both of them to stick to his ball and body movement game plan.

    Thank you, voice of reason!

The effort level and overall effort to fit in are alarming, but I think it will take a few games for these guys to get a clue (unfortunate, especially at the NBA level).

Most of the people on this board probably don't understand how difficult it is to create chemistry with a lineup that changes every week. No matter how good the individual players are. We have had our 'preferred' rotation only TWO times this entire season. We have to give it time now that all of the guys are back and able to play. I know most of you dont want to hear that or understand it but it is what it is. In the beginning we did not have Von doing his thing either so that is something else that has to be worked out. I'm quite sure Rick is telling the team they have to keep moving and passing the ball. He doesn't want to see them taking turns going one on one. It is just a matter of T-Mac and Artest buying into that. Artest needs to be in the 2nd unit so he can get the ball in the paint and work from there. He is not and has never been a slasher from the wing or a 3 point specialist. I think we will be fine over the next week. Im glad Rafer called them out after last game, that was ridiculous.

This is true, but you can't create chemistry by holding the ball and standing in one place.

When Wafer was in the lineup over TMac it did not take that long to create chemistry because all the players were moving their feet and the ball.

    You want chemistry, start there.

So can someone tell me any other star who runs the motion and tries to get Easy shots?
