I can't believe Spurs are not a choice. They are by far #1 on my list and noone else is a close second. (but if I had to pick, Lakers and Jazz come next).
Jazz,Mavs,Celtics,and Seattle. I respect Seattle,but when I think about them blocking us from the Bulls multiple times....... Look,we were the only team besides the Lakers to come out of the West in the Eighties.Showtime was awesome..great rivalry,but can't hate those guys.
It's easily the Jazz, Lakers, and Mavs. Blazers shouldn't even be on there. There is no real history behind them except for the Brandon Roy thing. And it's not like they picked him just to piss off the Rockets. He was the best player they could get. Not to mention that they let us bring Clyde the Glide back to H-Town. Now, the Jazz, Lakers and Mavs, we all have history with them. Jazz - Any fan during the Clutch City era knows whats up. Mavs - From Dallas. Need I say more? Lakers - Who actually likes this team that is not from Cali? KOF's don't count.
how can the spurs not be an option. I HATE HATE HATE: jazz, mavs, spurs and fudge the hornets and blazers b/c they don't deserve to take one of our playoff spots.
Jazz are number one by far. They have owned the Rockets many times, and they do it in the worst ways. They flop, they hack, and they generally dishonor the game. After that, the Sonics and Lakers have the most deep-seeded resentment. They were so tough when I became a Rockets fan. The Mavs were so bad for so long that I still don't take them as seriously, but a seed of hate was certainly planted in 2005. It hasn't grown too much, but it is certainly there. I don't feel hate toward the Spurs because they haven't ever really hurt the Rockets. I am certainly jealous of them. I couldn't care less about the Blazers or Wolves.
Can someone that hates the Spurs please explain to me the seed of hatred for them? I mean I consider myself a huge Rockets fan (enough to toss $250+ just so that I can watch them play in Los Angeles), but I still don't understand the hate for the Spurs. Have they owned the Rockets since the days of the Dream? Sure, although that has been changing the last couple of seasons. Have they been a model organization since 98? Yes! But I can't hate them because Rockets management made some bone-headed decisions. Have they won almost everything in the world (trophies, championships, girls)? Yes, but I could envy that, but can't hate them for it. So outside of just pure jealousy over their success, why should Rockets fans hate the Spurs?
I don't understand the hate for Lakers or the Suns. But I chose the one with Lakers because I don't dislike them or like them. But I like the Suns. That was the team I was hoping would go all the way last year after the Rockets got KO'd.
Reason I hate the Suns is because: 1. They play no defense. Basketball requires two aspects: offense and defense. They are ruining basketball by encouraging people to not play defense. The way they give up lay-ups and easy baskets annoy me. I need to see some defense on the court because I enjoy watching good defense. 2. Amare Stoudamire is NOT a center. He is a freakish PF. Yet, everyone keeps insisting he is a center even though he could post-up Luther Head and score on him. And he plays no defense! 3. The man-crush that ESPN has (or had now that Boston is around) annoys the crap out of me. Imagine if they win, all you will ever hear about is run-and-gun, blah blah blah. They need to STFU with all of that non-sense. Other than that, I love the Suns offense. They are fun to watch on offense since anyone of their plays can go off on any given night.

There are only two teams I really do not like. 1.) Jazz & the 2.) Sonics They never really played fair. If you were a rockets fan going back to the early 90's, you know what I mean.
