It looks like Hopkins may be in bald denial. Those dreds start waaay back from his forehead. It's time for the "go home" shave.
Yeah no. You're going too far. BOB seems like a solid coach to play for but Rex is as entertaining as it gets on the coaching side. Very few quotes from NFL players are on the level of the snack quote. Just the manner in which it was delivered plus the setting all added to the greatness of it.
Completely agree on that point. Through the first 2 episodes, I found last years Falcons episodes to be more entertaining- plus Bryan Cox. The greatness of Bryan Cox on tv.
I've despised the Pats since that 1st SB victory and can't stand any Pats players but Wilfork was the only player on that team that I was fond of and it's great to have him with the Texans. He and his wife are absolutely made for reality TV. Both really funny people. That scene with him trying to give himself a locker room Pedicure or feet cleaning was pretty funny.
I enjoyed it. Anything Texans related is a win to me....and so loving this series. The scenes with B'OB taking about how to talk to the media and the Rick Ross scene had me cracking up.
That's great... really great post there. But this morning, he was not using any of those sources... he was commenting on what he saw on HK and stating his opinion as fact. That is not reporting or giving extra insight... that's what we're doing right here. Maybe if he uses more sources on a regular basis... or gets out there and actually sees things first-hand (besides when he attends games with his kids/family... or watches them at Los Cucos), I'd give him more credit. All too often he either hasn't watched the game (Rockets/Astros) or just is trying to entertain more than informing. But as it is, he's a step above the rest of the crew he struggles to carry in the morning.
Charlie/Matt are infinitely better at their job than the morning crew. Even Wex (not so much MattyJ!) was simply more than a talking head. And if Lance is not an NFL "expert", he's got zero credibility in being on a major market radio show... its really the only thing he brings to the table well.
I want more Ben Jones & Mallet on these episodes. Also, I wonder if Foster will make a significant appearance the rest of the way through considering his great "coming out" as a secularist.
Absolutely concur. Ben Jones seems like a really funny dude to have in the locker room and I would love to see more of Mallett, Hoyer and Savage in QB meetings and off the field. I guess there's time in the next couple of episodes for that.
Yeah episode 2 wasn't all that great. When it ended my wife asked, "Is that it?" And that's how I felt too.
I wonder how interesting people want these episodes to be. They are following real people not cartoons.
Slightly surprised Tom Savage wasn't mentioned more. With all the hoopla around Mallett and Hoyer, HK could really give Savage some love. Wasn't that his wife? Or are you talking about another person entirely?
You also see her rear end when they are putting the Cush's kids in the stroller. You don't see her face, butt...
Being as how Cushing is my favorite player, I absolutely loved this episode.. They even made reference to what made me love him in the first place: that mic'd up game with the browns. Also, taking his kids for a walk... like a boss. Does anyone have any knowledge as to Charles James's chance at making the roster? Really did love his attitude. Love the relationship between Watt and Wilfork that has already come up.. Same with J Jo, and Kareem.
He's a firm 3rd string. He's not competing for the starting job. He's not competing to make the roster. Unless his personality just really works on camera, there's not a lot of reason to see much of him on the show.
