Because he was Iranian, kinda like Wang Zhizhi got drafted in 2nd round partially because he was a Chinese army officer.

Because he didnt wanna leave iran or more to the point, he was orderd not to leave. if you seen this kid play, you know he's a nba starter type calibare player. i think teams will persist till they get him. seven foot two or three guy with he's skills are a rarity.

I think he can sign with Toronto if they want him.

Iran 11-43 Croatia, midway through the second quarter. I was hoping for an upset. Aussies locked into a quarters against USA now :( Iran

What if, we were to "hypothetically" wipe Iran off the map and fly him out before anyone notices?

Brilliant. The only NBA team that's not prohibited from signing him. Toronto won't ever be able to trade him. They could sign him to a cheap 3 year contract, with a team option on the 3rd.

he has stated that it's his dream to play in the NBA

It would be a bummer, if politics got in the way of basketball

I don't think so. It's still the NBA. They are paid in USD.

^^^You're just plain stupid. he's avgerage so far is 17 points 11 boards 3 blocks on 485 shooting. he has dominated centers like oberto who start for the spurs. he also destroyed nba players like kiristic and millic. you seriousley know nothing about basketball. there is a reason why scouts are after this guy.

    dominate oberto?

    http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/INF/BK/C73/BKM400A12.shtml#BKM400A12

oberto played 13 minutes, and scola scored 20 on him.

and where is this destroyed nba players like kristic and milicic? Can you show me the game where this game is played?

Hes not that good. He will struggle with the speed of the NBA game. Yao looks faster than him.
