The grizzlies are about to snag Tyus Jones and still got two picks for Delon Wright

For real, that's a hefty contract for a borderline NBA player.

Yeah, I mean he's not horrible, but even in an inflated market, paying Tyus Jones almost $10 million a year is insane.

I like the rest of the Grizzlies moves and their overall direction this summer. But on this... not clear?

 

considering hes barely a bench player, I'd say its pretty bad. good for him though to somehow get that kind of money. boy should be count his blessings for sure

 

Not that it's relevant in any way... but when I see these transactions, or even Ariza's this year, or the like, I think just as much about Lou Williams as anyone. I know he says he's "happy", etc. but he's still got those 2 years at $8 million per left. So now Tyus Jones is getting paid more for him, lol

 

honestly think Lou, is just one of those rarity's. this is what his 15th year. I don't doubt he's living his best life at this point and just wanted to stay out in LA while making decent coin. Certainly does seem happy based on how much hes on social media these days

 

No doubt, he's not sweating it a ton.

Well, the Grizz must have known something we didn't - the Tyus Jones move was clearly to counter the impending Russ-to-Houston bomb. The Grizz know it's an arms race at guard and they aren't going to go in with a pop gun.

Hopefully they can draft a Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay’ish type player. If you get my drift.
