As a fan, sportsmanship is not overruled IMO, especially for a $1.99 fast food sandwhich. I wouldnt like it if another team was trying to score after being up by 20 with only a few seconds left, and neither would the players and neither would any of our fans.
you do realize that you are obviously bashing the coach just to bash the coach. Marketing 101 - the "free" Big Mac deal is a scam. They give you a "free" Big Mac, but want you to BUY fries and a Coke - which have outrageous markups (it cost McD something like $.05 and they charge $2-$3 for it) PLUS they get word of mouth (excuse the pun) advertising from jacklegs like you who will look for ANY EXCUSE ON THE PLANET to hate on JVG. JVG saved you from yourself... you should be thanking him.
You are missing the point here, I'm not talking about running up the score on purpose, but for the fans he should have did it especially when you need only 1 pt. The Utah Jazz would have understood it.
you're missing the point 1) this is a stupid criticism that is based on blind JVG hating not on sound reasoning (Rudy would not have taken it either... the players certainly didn't care) and... 2) the ROCKETS already had 3-4 shots to try to get to 100 and missed. Taking a dunk at the end of the game when there is no D and the other team justs wants to leave so a few fat fans can grab some Big Macs is VERY weak and I, for one, am glad they didn't do it !!! I guess you think throwing one off the other team's backboard so you can grab the rebound and get a triple double is also OK
I GOT MY BIGMACS LOL you know whats funny, I went to a McDonalds yesterday and went up to the window with 6 game tickets and told them I was trading them in for Big Macs. The 16 year old behind the counter was like OK and he gave them to me. I dont think that the local McDonalds really keep track of the exact game score. They just take your word for it. By the way this is the 3rd time I've done that.

This has nothing to do with JV hating, that's your assumption. The Rockets did have 3-4 shots to get 100 I agree with you on that. My door was open and now it is closed.

I don't think any coach in the NBA would've done any different in the same situation. What JVG did was pretty standard.
