Yeah I agree... Dirk has to be in there. He flails away when driving to the hoop and if he gets touched he acts like he got shot by a sniper.
I guess it's a fine line between good defense and flopping if he has Bruce Bowen, Raja Bell, and Shane Battier on there. I've always considered Bowen and Bell as more dirty players than floppers. Shane flops sometimes but to be considered honorable mention for greatest floppers of all time? Seems like too much of a stretch for me. Devin Harris is the biggest flopper in today's game. Dirk used to, but not as much any more. Derek Fisher has also toned it down some. Some up and coming floppers: Oberto and Okur
Guys like Varejao and Bell are strictly defensive flopping specialist. Giniobili is versatile in flopping both ends of the court.
Ginobilii flops, certainly. But you goona respect him how he reacts to the hard fouls that dish to him constantly by defenders. Everytime Ginobili gets hit (hard or not), he will just bounce back and play. Never make a scence out of it. Brent Barry calls him "El Contusion". So, Ginobili has certainly paid a heavy price driving the lane. I have some respect for floppings for players driving the lane. At least they pay the price for getting hit or getting no call for contacts. On the other side, what Varejo or Oberto doing is dramatic floppings. Someone please count how many times they end up on the floor in each game.
