I'm just out of the loop I guess, thankfully. We don't talk like that at the feed store.

Looks like it was coined in 1974 to describe The Bulge of baby boomers, whereby the python is the X-axis of a graph, and the pig/bulge gets pushed through it over time.

So, today, I guess it’s used to refer to any bulge that is pushed through a timeline.

Here’s first citation in NY Times
    https://www.nytimes.com/1974/04/21/archives/pigs-in-a-python-sunday-observer.html

“All very well for the bulge group [ie, baby boomers], you may say. It will continue to dominate society as it passes through the decades like a pig through a python. But what sort of country shall we become in the passage?“

    No freaking way.

They've been using "pillars" forever. There are lots of books written about "pillars of..." this, that, and the other. The only difference is every book or mantra has a different number of pillars. Kind of like the "7 habits of highly effective people" where "habits" has become commonplace, but the number of habits you "need" varies. At one of the places I worked, they were pushing the "7 habits of highly effective people" book pretty hard. To the point they bought a copy for us and made us read it and take a quiz on it. lol.

Seems like this should belong in here. It's worth a watch... especially until the end... while watching it, I was like "I remember these days..."

I don't envy people on the job market right now. I like to go to Indeed every now and then just to see what else is out there in my field.

Job summaries and descriptions are THE WORST. "Hmmm, this sounds interesting...let me read more about what this job entails..."

    What you will be doing:
Leverage agile frameworks to provide a robust synopsis for high level overviews. Iterative approaches to corporate strategy foster collaborative thinking to further the overall value proposition. Organically grow the holistic world view of disruptive innovation via workplace diversity and empowerment.

Bring to the table win-win survival strategies to ensure proactive domination. At the end of the day, going forward, a new normal that has evolved from generation X is on the runway heading towards a streamlined cloud solution. User generated content in real-time will have multiple touchpoints for offshoring.

Capitalize on low hanging fruit to identify a ballpark value added activity to beta test. Override the digital divide with additional clickthroughs from DevOps. Nanotechnology immersion along the information highway will close the loop on focusing solely on the bottom line.

Holy crap, I love this post.

"Bring to the table win-win survival strategies to ensure proactive domination" may be the greatest sentence I've ever seen on the bbs, and I think the Rockets should put it in their HC job posting.

Not bad at all, right? The second "together" should have been "as such", but still better than anything I would have come to with.
