I'm serious guys, this could be a good thing. No fap Feb, no masturbation Mar, so on Maybe not the right place to say this but... My body is ready
What happens if you look at p*rn, but don't masturbate? Or what if you masturbate, but don't look at p*rn? Anyone care to act as a test subject? lol
On the latter, masterbating but not looking at p*rn, I'd say men been doing that since year 1 up until the p*rn era. No idea. But I suspect you still need to see a real girl to have the urge to do it. So the reward system probably still pretty similar. I think the dysfunction would come from rubbing too much too someone you don't have a relationship with, because then you have a chemical\sexual connection to someone who you don't really have a connection to. So it's like having a relationship in your head. And So I'd think your physical problems would be limited, but your mental problems would be greater. but of course, only if in excess. As to the first, that would be interesting. I wonder who does that, but I'm sure there some who look but do not touch. I would think they'd be ok physically. Like a kid who looks but has't figured out what to do yet.
i completely agree, and it's not something as a woman i can quite put my finger on, but there's a certain aura a man exudes when his mind isn't p*rn-desensitized. i once dated a guy for a couple weeks who "leveled" with me that most of the time during sex/bj, he's unable to get off, due to being addicted to p*rn since 10 years old. he'd gotten so used to his own hand that apparently he rarely "finished." ugh, that is the most unattractive thing you can possibly tell a woman. then again, when i put 2 and 2 together in retrospect, he was totally the type.
I think the first can be bad as well - because the images may desensitize you, even if you aren't doing anything else. It can be like watching violence on TV.
^I think you would be ok. I'm guessing the problem here is associating p*rn with masturbating and vice versa. So if you're watching p*rn and not masturbating, or masturbating without p*rn, I think you are in the clear?
I think the idea is not to clutter your brain with false arousal from images and videos, and instead allow those natural instincts to function the way they were intended with real women to create real relationships.
Just found this awesome blog. Personal development has always been a big hobby of mine, and the stuff here is really well written and true. Feeling super excited right now, and for the future! Hope more guys check this out, it's not just about quitting p*rn, but how to be a successful person overall! http://30sleeps.com/blog/
What Darkhorse said. By continuing to even look at p*rn, you're still feeding and further reshaping how the [part-in-your-brain associated with being turned on] sees fit to send signals down below that you're being turned on.
Interesting, maybe when you do something, say put on a sexy dress, the men respond differently. The man doesn't watch p*rn is more aggressive, or acts more interested toward you, while the man who does, feels indifferent. Man who watches a lot of p*rn: "Meh. I've seen better." Man who doesn't: "DAAMMMNNN...nice dress!"
If you look at p*rn, the images will be planted in your mind. If you just masturbate but don't look at p*rn, you're the BEAUTIFUL MIND of MASTURBATORS, sir.
I hear Clutchfans is a good substitute for p*rn. Just post in this thread any time you feel the "urge" lol
My wife is a ******* bloodhound when it comes to pr0n. It really is like she knows. I don't really have the time to pr0n any more, but I did have a huge problem through most of my teenage years and into my 20s. Sometimes the urge overcomes me, alas... I am a slave to vice, and only a red blooded man with free access to a billion t*tties. Count me in as well.
