I spend an average of 10 minutes a day looking for material and fapping. Think of what I could of accomplished with those ten minutes. I could of filed my tax return with turbo tax or something
I would say once a day would be considered very addictive behavior. It is true that anxiety & ADHD have gone way up since the invention of the Internet but I never related that to p*rn. Makes sense though. Stop fapping guys.
Well in order to start and run a business your mind needs to be clear. If your mind is thinking about sex, fapping or a p*rn hottie then you can't focus on your business the way you need to. Same goes with sports. Most people who watch sports daily, play fantasy sports etc aren't usually business owners.
The longest I ever went with out looking a p*rn was a month. In that month I seem to be a extremely attractive to women and much more confident about life in general. If you think about it p*rn does have serious effects on us, from our way we look at women and the way they look at us. I am attempted to quit look at p*rn forever as it really has no positive benefits in my life and just alters my mind into paranoid thoughts. NoFap fo Life.
People on the bbs are pretty immature and go through life as if they have everything figured out but your post is right on the money. I challenge anyone here to go without p*rn and fapping for a month and actually go out and be around real women and see what happens. Once you master that then go without sports and sportscenter for a month and watch your life transform into a successful human being.
This doesn't seem as much anti-p*rn as it seems anti-addiction. People with addiction disorders can develop all kinds of problems if they let their addictions get out of hand or don't seek help. Addiction to sexual arousal is no different. p*rn is a very real and powerful mental stimulant that can be abused like anything else. It makes sense that overload would wear on you from a mental and definitely sexual standpoint. Diminishing returns. And LOL @ Fapstronauts. That's classic.
No. No p*rn and no fapping at all what so ever. Here is the master thread on bodybuilding.com where they are all doing it: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138995133&page=1
There is much much more to it than that. It's not about addiction its about the motivation and desire to pass on your genes which is the foundation of life for the most part.
A personal account of a guy who is on this journey: http://yourbrainonporn.com/age-23-metamorphosis-into-chick-magnet
That thread, while it has its benefits to some people, is broscience at it's finest.
If you read the posts of the avg idiot/foreveraloner on the misc, that thread will make a lot more sense edit: then again, maybe it's not so different from the bbs
Notice how the post you quoted says "constantly" watch p*rn? These are people who basically fap so much they lose most, if not all, desire to go get a real piece of 'tang. Real 'tang can't hold a candle to internet p*rn because they've basically fried their brain's sexual circuits to where only the absolutely most arousing things remotely excite them. Those people are, by my best guess, the exception, and not the rule. And it smacks of addiction, and the disorders that typically go with it (at least socially). Of course, this may be changing, but for the most part, judoka had it right. Moderation is the key. Masturbation is perfectly healthy otherwise.
OK if we're now talking about putting an end to fapping I must refer everyone to a Seinfeld episode called The Contest.
Wasn't there also an episode where George swore off sex or women or something like that and became an ultra-productive super genius? I think that was me until I discovered craft beer...
