An embarassment? I've seen you post this a couple of times and I just don't understand it. Why would you be embarassed for someone's personal art? There are obviously a lot of people, myself included, who love both Speakerboxxx and The Love Below.

    Speaking for Andre, SCOREBOARD. :)

Like I said...I thought it was an embarassment...I realize that apparently noone else does which is probably what's driving me crazy!

Although, Andre, if "Scoreboard" simply means winning a grammy or selling a lot of records, I wouldn't say that exactly makes your music impervious to criticism. :)

I think Bamboo from Speakerboxx should have won a grammy.

I didn't pay any attention to the actual awards. That's what the mute button is for. All I watched were the performances.

Don't you ever watch a movie where it's so bad you just feel embarassed for the filmmaker's or actors? For instance, you've alluded to the "homo-erotic" scenes in Return of the King before. Did you not feel embarassed when watching that scene? Did you not cringe seeing the hobbitses frolicking together on the bed? :)

Honest-to-God, I feel that same way on a few of Andre's songs, and especially the skits. That's how bad I think some of them are. Obviously, it's just an opinion.

I have both albums (Speakerboxx/Love Below) and they aren't that great...I like albums where every song is good, but there are few like that anymore (Maroon 5, Audioslave, Beatie Boys, etc.)...

I agree, the skits were kinda dumb and I only liked a few of the songs on Both albums...Overrated...

If one wants to call Speakerboxx/ The Love Below overrated, I can deal with that. I like them both, especially Speakerboxx. However, these awards can be viewed as payback for 'Kast somehow NOT winning awards for Aquemini and Stankonia- it's the music community with an NBA-like makeup call! :)

Hey, I'm just a white guy, but is Outkast really rap music?

That sort of reminds me of the year Jethro Tull beat out Metallica for Best Heavy Metal Album.

The Love Below has 8 or 9 great songs, it's not about the hip hop, but when he actually does rhyme it sounds so smooth you are left wishing he would have rapped more.

Dre has to be the weirdest man alive, so his music can only be classified as narcotic. Big Boi's music is generally considered rap.

How the hell did St Anger win anything, that is like awarding Michael Jordan a trophy for trying to play baseball.

it was "she loves you" wasn't it? or maybe i mixed that up with another performance.

LOL Chump, I'm sure the grammys will get in touch with you next year to find out what you want to see, not everybody else.

Hey, my guy won one last night! :)

BTW, I concede your point about embarassment. I just don't feel it in this situation.

I dont think the Grammys are a fully popularity contest, because if they were, 50 Cent would have won SOMETHING. Like him or not, if one manages to sell 6.7 million albums and not win a grammy, I think that is quite ridiculous.
