Only if those beliefs are bigoted. Bigotry doesn't get erased if people claim their bigotry is part of their religion.
I call Muslims bigots who say nasty things about LGBTQ people deserving hellfire just like Christians who say that are nasty. I'm sure not every christian believes someone born being gay deserves eternal damnation but those who do why wouldn't you call them bigots? Are you saying a belief inherently can't be bigoted? Your religious ideology is that people who have different sexual lifestyles as you deserve eternal hell, havent they naturally opened themselves up to being called bigots? What would be a bigot if believing someone deserves eternal damnation for a trait one is born with isn't bigotry?
Ya it's such an odd logic.. Yes Christians have been called bigots, so have Muslims etc. A lot of people in those religions have murdered humans in the name of their god. They have ostracized and tourmented thousands upon thousands of "heretics" "witches" "fags" "trannies" etc. So why would it be surprising that people would conclude some christians are bigots? Such an odd take.
Liberalism is a mental illness, a distortion of reality, a conflict between emotion and reason and a constant search for something to be a victim of.
Why so many people are obsessed with Transgenderism now. It's like the GOP needs some one to hate. Someone to rally their cause to get to the polls. Some group of people that is weak that they can get angry about. Now that they overturned Roe v Wade, it's not enough, they have to go after any marginalized group.
Working class white people like all working class people struggle with bills, struggle with life etc. They know something is inherently wrong with the system. The people who accumulated wealth want to make sure that frustration and skepticism of the system has an outlet that isn't directed towards them but some marginalized outside groups that has little power to push back. That's how these things work.
It's like a mental illness they have - to believe that the reason your life sucks is because some kid is dealing with gender dysmorphia. They play the victim. All their problems is because of liberalism. They can't take accountability and realize the problems actually have more to do with themselves.
And corporate executives love that the one group that can turn the tide for a workers revolution, the white working class, are more preoccupied with trans marketing and drag shows while waiting on the line for their heath insurance provider to deny them their 2000 dollar CT scan claim.
Bigots are people who hold strong, unreasonable, and unfair prejudices or intolerance towards certain individuals or groups based on their race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or other characteristics. If someone has that view due to their religion, that doesn't excuse them from being called bigots. Simply put, religious beliefs, whether they are extreme or mainstream, aren't a valid excuse to avoid being accurately labeled. Some Muslims have a religious belief that mass murder of innocents is a path to heaven. We rightly call them terrorists when they act on that belief. However, it would be absolutely wrong to label Muslims as a whole as terrorists. What is wrong is the indiscriminate labeling.
The easiest response to this is … WWJD? This hate filled rhetoric does not belong in Christianity. It is like these haters own the New Testament bible but don’t read it.
