I really want to understand the mentality of the Rockets coaching staff now. Cuz it seems to me that the Rockets don't have a clear direction how to build a championship team. These are the questions I have for the organization?

    1. Are they still experimenting with different plays?
    2. Are they planning to win as many games as possible or just enough to make the playoff?
    3. Are they going to take the advantage from the expansion team draft to create room for salary?
    4. Are they going to play Boki?
    5. Are they going to trade J.Collier for something or nothing?
    6. Do they have a solid winning formula yet?
    7. What am I doing? Sorry, folks, I'm confused with what's going on with the team...

Well, I'm not the organization or remotely involved with them, but I'll try to answer some of the questions as I do have opinions. :D

Yes. I've seen regular plays they've set up for Yao. Now defenses are reacting to those plays. It's Rudy's turn to react back. There will be new plays designed to get Yao open during the entire season.

Strange question. If you win as many games as possible, you've done your best. Everything else falls into place. I'm sure everyone's ultimate goal is to win the championship.

I'll leave that to the salary experts on the bbs.

When Boki proves himself worthy to get minutes, he will get minutes. That's the way Rudy has always been and will always be. He started Yao out slow and now is giving him 30-35 minutes per game almost every night.

If fair value is of any concern in the trade, they'll probably get nothing for him. Ooh, that was mean. :(

Yes. It's 2k + 3y -2(i) + SQRT(z) ... uh... just kidding. They don't have the final "formula" yet, or they would be winning, no? If they had the final formula, they wouldn't be trying to add various ingredients such as James Posey and new plays for Yao. It's still evolving... but then all teams continually evolve or you end up being like the Lakers this year.

Not me. I'm happy with what's going on with team. I don't know why Boki's not playing, but then I can't say Rudy's wrong in not playing him because I don't know what's going on in practice. The same is true for James Posey. I do see Yao getting better. I do see us going to Yao more consistently. I do see Yao doing more than a turnaround fadeaway. I do see Mo Taylor hustling out there even though he's still not back to his former self. I do see Steve Francis passing the ball. I do see Steve Francis still making bad decisions. I still see Mobley being unstoppable. I still see Mobley taking dumb shots. I know that Rice is a defensive liability. I know that Rice can be a threat that helps Yao if he Rice can hit the open 3.

The year is still fairly young. The players are still evolving. I still love this team... the rest of you that don't, oh well... must suck to be you. :D

I hope Yao and other Rockets are more ambitious than that.
A heart of champion can make a team tougher.
