Why didn’t Sengun play in the 2nd half? Why do we keep playing ineffective double big lineups? Why do we give so few minutes to our most effective lineup of KPJ/Green/Tate/KJ/Wood? This really isn’t complicated. The staff has been told to lose until management tells them it’s safe to win. Once we hit whatever number of loses or relative draft position they are targeting, I can almost guarantee the script will flip and you’ll start seeing some rational basketball decisions. If it is literally anything else, they should fire Silas tonight.
The goal is for everybody to strive to be like Daniel Theis. Haven’t you heard? He is the gold standard. A consummate professional and certified baller. Once everybody else reaches Theis level…achievement reached/winning unlocked.
They’re not trying to lose. They‘re just losing. we could safely win 3 games and still have the best odds possible.
They goal is not only lose but to demoralize our players, decrease confidence, teach them losing basketball ways, and make them not want to resign after their contract is up. Even if our goal is to lose, fire Silas.
The goal is DEVELOPMENT!!! the plan isn't to go out there and lose every game. But we are a bad team with alot of youth and not very talented roster. So losses will happen. But that's not the plan bro.
The fact that Sengun/Martin had a combined 17 mins and House/Thies had 36 is reason enough for them to finally get rid of him. This is getting downright ridiculous. Like, I understand that we are rebuilding, but young players are supposed be coached and taught NBA basketball while rebuilding.
Nobody has a problem with the losing. Even if we play the rotations that make sense we will lose. It’s the fact that these rotations hinder young player development that upsets everyone. These coaches have to be better.
Curry may have changed the NBA play style in the last 10 years but next 10 years NBA's gonna be Theis style!
why would you want the top pick when silas can get you the best rookie with pick no 16? good luck with answering this
Fine, lose. But lose with style. Lose with growth. Lose and mother. ****ing. learn. We’re all ok with this; after all—we have a young group that can grow together and maybe create something special. Don’t start a clearly undeserving Danuel House and bench Sengun in favor of Theis. It’s not Rocket science. These are not players that factor in to the Rockets’ future (or in the case of House, should not factor into the NBA’s present) The more I think about it the more frustrated I get. Maybe it’s time to stop thinking about it at all. ...until next game
Making 19 year olds earn playing time over your vets isn't the most radical idea on the planet. Season is short and young just like Rockets fans patience.
correct! and that’s why Jalen Green should not be starting and getting more minutes over Eric Gordon. Sengun OTOH has already earned minutes over Theis.
