Has anyone watched the video "CLUTCH CITY?" It is the official 1994 NBA Finals Video, with highlights from the regular season as well. It's amazing to see how dominant we really were. I was younger back then, so I didn't appreciate the talent like I would today. In the video, Dream says the Rockets became contenders by "complimenting one another, rather than competing with one another." I think its about time we get back to the basics! Watching Kenny Smith, Maxwell and Horry sling the ball back and forth until somebody had the open shot... it was incredible how unselfish that team was. Thats what is keeping our current sqaud from being legit! It doesn't seem like Rudy has done enough to get back to the glory days... I sure as hell hope this so called motion offense is the answer to my prayers.

Welcome to the BBS, laen21. :)

It took quite awhile for that team to start trusting each other... it took Dream years. When we truly buy into that and into playing defense then the Rockets will roll.

They're working on it. We've got a VERY young team and the season is 3 games old. The Sonics game will be a good early test. Rudy is a nut when it comes to breaking down games on film. I bet the guys have been watching a TON of it. We'll see tomorrow if they've been paying attention.

No youth is keeping this team from being a championship team. People talk about the glory days, but they forget it took Hakeem 10 years to mature enough and get the supporting cast to win an NBA championship. Rudy is doing everything to get the team back to the glory days, but the guy isn't god. He can't give the players 5 or 10 years of experience, they need to grow and learn just like Hakeem, just like Jordan who it took 7 years for him to win a ring. Or Shaq, it took him about 6 years to win a ring. Patience.
