His team still lost, so what? I don't care if he scores 40! If his team lose, then he lose.

And by the way, is Rudy Gay? Hmm.........

He is good, says a lot about the Rockets that they were not going to draft him....

I seem to remember you being quite anti-Gay yourself during the draft.

Oh no, I think he's very Gay with most of his takes.

I liked the Battier trade. Still do, but Gay has proven to be a much better worker than many scouts thought he would.

His effort was under question before the draft, sometimes the scouts are wrong.

Looks like I have acquired a new dingleberry....welcome aboard, try not to stink so much.

I thought that the scouts were concerned that at times he disappeared on the court, especially in some big games.

That was one of their concerns as well......

I guess they were wrong at least about his work ethos, I read now that he is one of the hardest workers on that team.

You still like the trade despite the fact that Gay represents the exact type of player you think is lacking most on this team (playmaking guard that attacks the basket)?

we coulda had a gift in Gay but dumbass rockets management blew it. It's those types of things that keep your team from being contenders, what if the Spurs traded their 2nd round pick(ginobili) for cash?

Gay isn't really a playmaker. He can't really pass to save his life, and that will be the reason he never becomes much more than a Shawn Marion type (not that we sure couldn't use a Shawn Marion right now).

The Grizz have been smart to play him as much as possible at the 4.

Rudy Gay reminds me of Jason Richardson more than Marion-- good scorer, good shooter, but not so great handles or passing. Shawn Marion is unique in having a pretty unreal ability to rebound the ball at his size and defend multiple positions. His rebounding ability allows them to play him at the 4 without getting killed on the boards.

Rudy Gay appears to be more perimeter oriented-- better shooter from distance-- but he is only a pretty good rebounder, not nasty like Marion.

Rudy Gay is a perfect candidate for a possible Brokeback Mountain team. Him and John Amaechi can be the starters.
John Amaechi kicks it back out after Gay penetrates, Gay shoots, Gay scores! GAY!!! is Rudy Gay?

Yes, because the Rockets would not have drafted Gay, they said so themselves, they like Thebo Sefalosha.....

So, all this Gay watching is pointless....the Rockets NEVER drafted him for themselves, he was picked by the Grizz.

That's the difference between the Spurs and the Rockets :( It's(the management) also the difference between four and zero championships in the last ten years..

    Okay, fair enough.

Hypothetically though, if the Grizzlies were to offer Rudy Gay for Battier today, would you make the deal?

Because your argument when the trade happened on draft day was certainly not that you liked the trade because you preferred Battier over Sefalosha.

You loved the trade because you preferred Battier over Gay. If I remember correctly, you said the team needed spot up shooters more than slashers and we didn’t have time to wait for Gay to develop. You seemed to have done a complete 180 now.
